Yesterday’s nice, hot, weather yielded to today’s rain, with YHC and 3 PAX deciding this was no deterrent at all. Kubota and Spit headed out through Honey Meadows, down the back trail to Kings Charter and then around the back way to the COT.  YHC and Mudface rucked it (he did, I didn’t) around the high school and middle school grounds.  The runners put in about 5 miles, the slower group about 3. NMS Spit had planned to show other runners the trails today, but the weather got in the way. Another day, hopefully.  It started raining harder when YHC…

Four intrepid Pax fought lightning, zero visibility, and torrential downpours to make it to Tomato Run.  Once to the AO, the rain held back for perfect running conditions.  We went through King’s Charter and picked up some trails returning us to the AO.  Mudface defied lightning and science to ruck with a pack full of steel plates. YHC took us out. While the entire drive up 301 was washed out and zero visibility, the last quarter mile next to the construction was the most hazardous.  Driving along the jersey wall with the train on the other side, there was a…

2 Warriors didn’t let the weekend hangout stop them from getting some miles in. This is how it went down: ROUTE Head out of the Atlee parking lot down the access toad and completed the Kings Charter loop and the Honey Meadows trail loop for 5.25 miles MOLESKIN It was great to catch up with Hardywood this morning. Congrats on completing the Summer Tour before the 2.0’s arrival. YHC counted 10 bunny sightings during the run this morning. So glad Hardywood got a glimpse of the DaVille wildlife. At the end of the run, YHC and Hardywood figured out that…

3 Davillians and 1 PAX on their summer tour, ventured out on this humid Monday morning. ROUTES Singer and YHC headed to the Cross Country trails and through the Honey Meadow trails then back through the estates, then one lap around the gravel track before heading back to the parking lot for 4ish miles Mudface (with his 30lb Ruck sack) and No Idea loop around Honey Meadows and back for 3ish miles MOLESKIN Great to have Wedding Singer up in DaVille this morning. Mumble chatter was mainly about the fact both us dealing with a new born and a toddler…

5 runners and 1 rucker took on the dawn at Tomato Run this morning. The runners started light, but Wheelbarrow joined up about a half mile in…hoping we were toting an oxygen bottle…we were not.  He eventually caught his breath and we settled in for a friendly paced bro code run.  Route doesn’t matter, but the banter was good.  Subjects covered included: -Wheelbarrow is quickly becoming the go-to guy for brewing in F3 lately.  Sugar Sock has some experience in the brewing department as well.  Sounds like an F3 brew day is in the works. -Vinny lives in a house…

2 Davillians arrived at Atlee this morning to continue their June Challenge with some miles. Since the Q was a no show, YHC to the lead. YHC headed out down to the trails and through Honey Meadows. Stopping a few times to get in some Merkins and WWII sit-ups for a total of 4 miles MudFace stayed back a little while to see if No Idea would be a LIFO then heading out on his Ruck. He got in some overtime and covered 3.5 miles MOLESKIN YHC finally made it back out for a morning run in hopes to have…

The roster for Tomato Run doubled this morning, as 4 hardy men skipped the fartsack and put in some miles. Opus and EF Hutton ran for about 4.5 miles, winding through Honey Meadows (and maybe Kings Charter, YHC is unsure of their exact route).  Mudface and YHC put in a little over 3 miles, at a pretty good walking clip as Mudface continues to impress by rucking it with a 30 pound steel plate in his backpack. Numberama, namerama, YHC took us out. NMS There were a LOT of dogs walking their humans this morning, as YHC and Mudface saw…

https://youtu.be/Xf3mRZ7SHu0 According to Phineas and Ferb, there are 104 days of summer.  What a better way to spend the summer than challenging yourself to visit all 24 F3 RVA AOs.  Although procrastinators can wait as late as August 6 to start, it would be best to spread this challenge out over the entire summer.  Once you complete the tour, you will have done the following: 14 bootcamps 7 runs including a trail run and evening run 2 Kettle Bell workouts 1 bike ride Don’t let not having a kettle bell or bike prevent you from participating in this challenge.  Borrow…

2 runners showed up on time to Tomato run to start off Opus’ takeover week?  Hmmmmmm.  1 lone walker spotted later to bring numbers up to a quasi-respectable 3. Route and NMS:  Runners took off with no plans on a pre-determined bro-code run….aka at Lab Rat’s pace.  Ended up running thru Honey Meadows, looped around King’s Charter, then back to parking lot for about 4 and a quarter.  We spotted Mudface on the way back and took a minute to catch up and exchange pleasentries before finishing up.  Mumble chatter was thru the roof, as one can imagine with Phonics…
