A strong twenty of the area’s finest gathered in the bowl for today’s Spider Run. Plenty of quiet suppositions prior to launch, with many questioning when there would be instructions. 0530 arrived and off we went. Everyone head west along the lake, across the bridge, right through the (now dark) path, and huddle up at the base of University and College. Intervals were next. All were 1 minute up hill followed by 1:45 recovery back down. First round of intervals were up University. On the third interval up we took a right on Wood and slow moseyed to Lakewood. Continue…

It had been a decent spell since we traversed the difficult terrain of Mt. Henrico (or “Henricus” as they called it in the ancient times). Nevertheless, with the humidity pulsating and the heat rising, 16 men decided to grab our inner-sherpas, forget the debate between Wordpress and Slack for 45 minutes and trundle to the peak of this wonderful county of ours. Here’s how you get to Mt. Henrico from the parking lot… A left. A right. A left. A left. A right. A Right. A left. A right. A left. A left. A right (5s, jump down to then…

19 men and a 2.0 gathered on a perfect Tuesday morning by the lake of the University of Richmond expecting a casual jog through campus and beyond. What they got was a DaVille Takeover with Alternating Partner 400s on the turf fields. The PAX started with a Brocode run to the fields and then took a lap around them. The Pax then partnered up with runner of similar ability and for 28 minutes rotated running 400s around one of the fields. At the end, the PAX moseyed back to the VSF. COT – Name-O-Rama, Numberarama, Announcements, YHC took us out.…

A sweaty dozen runners basked in the early morning light leaving headlamps behind. Two Pax wore red sleeveless tank tops and matching shorts as they looked prepared to run a relay. Swirly tested the strength of his truck’s bumper with some warm up dips and determined that shirts were optional. No sleeves, no shirt, no problem! Off we went taking the bat cave to Westham Station for a nice climb up Ridge. Take a left on River and a right on Ralston in the early morning light. Tackle another ascent up Ralston with 4s then taking a right on University…
