YHC along with Oyster and Spike visited the Medical Respite this evening and had a bit of fellowship and faith with some of the less fortunate among us in RVA.  There were eight wonderful people there that we blessed and fed a meal of BBQ (beef and pork), coleslaw, baked beans, rolls, dessert and beverages.  Everyone enjoyed themselves and we had great conversations with them.  YHC’s 2.0 asked him if he could go help, but due to age restrictions, he could not.  I’m just glad that my 5 year old son knew that I was going to help feed some…

Six, maybe seven (Saab, Sight-un-Seen), hombres herded onto the trails together for this week’s version of Sunday Funday.  The RTD ran the following story: Route: South Bank to Reedy Creek.  Pick up Bootleg, who was on the service road.  Continue on Forest Hill Loop. 7 milers re-trace steps on South Bank. 10 milers head east to New Bridge, then back on North Bank. 18 of RVA’s finest runners showed up for perfect running weather to get some miles in for an array of upcoming events.  Cool and rainy, but not too cold, means optimal running. Today we did the Hamilton route.  All parties east on Grove and North on Hamilton.  At Westwood, 6s take a right while 4s and 5s take a left.  6s loop around to the Blvd and then Grove back the VSF.  4s/5s take Westwood/Malvern to Patterson and head west.  4s turn on Westmoreland back to Grove.  5s continue further to Lexington/Albemarle to Grove.
