6 strong posted to WDOG this morning and here is how it went down. Mossy down the street to the top of the park for some warm up exercises. Mossy across the street to the track. As a group we will run to each obstacle and do an exercise that will be called out once we arrive. All the way around the track back to the beginning. Mossy back over to the park to the circle . Curb Crawls – 1-5 Mossy to the Flag. Beautiful morning fellas thanks for allowing me to lead. Fun to be back over at…

Three warriors met at a warm parking garage to enjoy a musical workout. Did you expect anything less from my first Q (2nd if you include the one time I was the only one to show up)? Here’s what we did: Warmup: Ran up a few levels doing butt kickers and high knees. Then stopped for some Don Quixotes and Russian Soldiers. Then the music played: Playlist: Chumbaburpees: Listened to their one hit “Tubthumping” doing SSH’s except the Chorus with a burpee for every “knocked down” (about 20). Took the stairs down and ran to the Aloft deck entrance. Paula…

Eight of eastern western Henrico’s finest dads gathered in the almost dry parking lot for the first 2022 iteration of First Watch. After some discussion about where Andy Jenks is and the various waldo sightings of him around town, we did a few laps in the parking lot before settling in the northeast corner for… COP 20x SSHLeeeeeeeeeeeeeeroy Jeeeeeeeeenkinnnnnnnns20x IWStoplight burpeesLeeeeeeeeeeeeeeroy Jeeeeeeeeenkinnnnnnnns20x Merkins20x LBCs The Thang Super duper 21s were called today to try to stay off the “slick” roads and go with a ground and pound. A Great Eight inexplicably gathered on a sunny and 70 degree morning, which felt more like 35 and icy rain. After jumping out of the cars at 5:29, the pax quickly checked in and moseyed up Lindsay, left on Forest, down to the office building next to the Mobil station. We managed to find sheltered space under the covered lot, and after some COP, YHC whipped out a makeshift whiteboard for some ground and pound. 100 SSHs90 Squats80 LBCs** 15 Burpees **70 Mtn Climbers 2×60 Merkins50 American Hammers 2x** 15 Burpees **40 WW2s30 Ball Dippers 2×20 Burpees10 Diamond Merkins When…

A grizzled fifty-something, with more subcutaneous bodyfat than sense, rolled into Bettie Weaver ES to see what the day would bring. Survey says ….. rain, sleet and a big &#%@ hill. Up Twin Team, right onto E. Brigstock, turn at 22:00 and BTTF. My slow-ass pace made the 4 mi route more of a 3 mi one , but hey — me vs. me. NMMS: I really didn’t want to post today. Like, REALLY didn’t want to post, despite the 70 degree and sunny conditions. But I need the miles and I need the self discipline. And man oh man…

4, probably 5, but definitely not 6, launched into the rain and gloom (real gloom, not F3 Gloom) for the latest edition of Sunday Funday. Conditions were sunny and 70, per usual. According to the walkers who groaned at us going through Maymont, here’s more or less what happened: 6:30 launch: Swiper (13ish?) and Shakedown (11.4) 7:00 launch: Doublemint and YHC (6.6). Riverside, Belle Isle, Oregon Hill, Idylwood, back to the VSF. 7:00 (?) from points afar: Saab (10). Names, numbers, YHC took us out. NMS: Solid today, Doublemint. Thank you. Good chatter at ET’s. UpChuck spits the bit.
