Nine of Richmonds finest and one traveler from Charlotte decided to challenge Dogpile this morning. What rain? It was sunny and 70 for this morning’s edition. A fleet of thirteen convened at the corner of Grove and Commonwealth for an unexpected variation of a serpentine route. Directions were started early to leave ample time for repeating (if necessary). 6 “Almost” Olympic runners gathered to put in the work on a beautiful August morning. Some of the faithful Curahee were scattered but 3 from the south came to blaze the trail with us today. We rolled out the Red carpet and tried to keep a good pace so they would feel like the drive was worth it. We covered 5.25 miles in 42 mins with a sub 8:25/mile pace. 4 Davillians and a visitor from south of the wall enjoy some cooler temps and got in their weekly run Route – Reverse Rutland/Knollwood minus the Cool Forest Trail but of course include the Bojangles loop for a little over 4 miles Great to have Boberry join us this monring. First time he has been back since the Davillian relays and got lost in Knollwood. This time we made sure to call out the turns so he didn’t have to run a 10k again SPIT ON THAT!!
