Having finally dug out and recovered from what was essentially a month of vacations for #bigdata (insert mocking comment here), YHC took the opportunity this morning to listen to the substitute podcast episodes 97 and 97.75.  Considering I get questions on how #bigdata works on a weekly basis, I figured now was as good a time as any to clarify exactly how it all works. It all begins with the backblast. Someone writes a backblast with the Date, QIC and the PAX list.  They tag a region and add a tag for the AO.  Nothing fancy here as this always…

Four years ago after 3 Pre-Launch workouts, the first F3RVA bootcamp was held on Saturday, September 20 with a PAX of 24.  Click here to view the 9/20/14 Backblast.  Four years later, we celebrate the success of F3RVA with a convergence at Dogpile that will include a bootcamp, a run, and a 2nd F cookout. 4 Year Convergence Schedule of Event for Saturday, September 22, 2018 6 AM – Bootcamp 7:15 AM – VITA Course Run 8 AM – Cookout at Dogwood Dell About the VITA Course RUN 4 lap race around the VITA Course (About 3.6 miles) Participants will…

Gents, we are just over 2 weeks away from a great opportunity to demonstrate how impactful we can be.  Speed for Need will be traveling from Charlotte, NC to Virginia Beach, VA for a 5K sponsored by Surfers Healing on August 18.  The event will benefit the Autism Society, Tidewater Chapter and Surfers Healing, an organization that has been bringing children with autism to the ocean.  Here’s the thing, we need more PAX for this event … no sugar to coat this.  Fellas, we have an opportunity to use our somewhat “able” bodies to provide those who deal with disabilities, daily,…

A couple of weeks ago, Phonics told me that this Friday, August 3rd, was to be the date for RAMM Gears, Amateur Hour, Part Deux (see http://f3rva.org/2018/06/15/peloton/ for reference) and he asked me to put together a route.  Of course, my reaction was “F* YEAH… More dudes on bikes!”. If it’s truly the case, and this Friday is to be the second edition of the “run-what-ya-brung, dig-out-the-1990-something-Trek-and-come-ride”, I’m your guy, and I’d like to open it up to 2.0’s if they can make the early hour, unless there are objections.  I’ve got a route in mind, and plan to tune…
