On a 70 degree (Kelvin) and soon-to-be sunny morning, a six-pax hit the trails of the James River Park System. Called route: South Bank to T-Pott bridge to North Bank. Mileage, pace and direction varied, but 6.5 miles +/- achieved. Numbers, names, YHC took us out. Announcements – Nancy Lopez Respect Week of Qs and HDHH at Triple Crossing SOJ upcoming. Continued prayers for Durden and his M. Coffeteria and 2dF afterwards. YHC ate a turmeric ginger blondie at ETs. Sally ate a frozen poopsicle on the trail. Both were satisfied customers. The 530 crew header out Hamilton to Westwood and hang a left. Westwood turns into Malvern. 4s take Malvern to Grove and back to the AO with 5s hanging a right on Patterson, a left on Lexington, and a left on Grove. The crew took a sidebar to admire the Carvanna facility and search the pockets for some change to get a car out of the machine. YHC took us out.

Despite the roads being completely clear this morning, YHC wondered if the sheer fact that it snowed last night might keep some away. As expected, Doozy was already there when YHC arrived at 6:50. Florence rolled up soon after and DTH came in hot with 30 seconds to spare. Here’s what went down: Mosey from parking lot 1 to parking lot 2 for COP: SSHs, DQs, Cherry Pickers, Russian Soldiers, Merkins, LBCs, Flutterkicks 11s Mosey down the safe snow and ice covered stairs to the bottom of a snow covered hill. 2 Davillians braves the winds and ice for a Saturday morning run. With the conditions and Marco Polo running behind we only got in 4.5 miles. Route was up and down the road of Craney Island then head into Giles for some hill work before heading back Coffee at the Local Cup afterwards Cold morning but good to get in the miles Spit On That!

Fifteen fearless warriors fought off the fartsack and snow to find a beatdown. Helix was dressed for a 70 & sunny good time so that is what we did: COP: SSH, Don Qs, Imperial Walkers, Merkins. Mosey to the bottom of Amphitheater to avoid the wind: 5 Incline Merkins up, 5 Squats on way down. 2nd Round: 5 Dips up, 10 Pickle Pounders on way down, no audible. Save mosey up to stage for 3 sets of 25 PLTs. Mosey up to coupon drop zone. Parnter up: Murder bunny across field while partner does 5 burpees then runs to end…

YHC rolled up to see a couple of gents ready for the run for the morning, we had 3 walkers post @ 5am so they could get in a long walk to return by 6:15 at the clubhouse. It was definitely COLD this morning that the runners started immediately once we arrived…did not have time to open the hand warmers…just get moving. YHC had to modify route to a 4.3 mile route with a slower 9:30 + / mile pace. The route had some gradual declines followed by a long steady climb for about 2 miles. Great mumblechatter and was…

YHC was wondering how many PAX would be a Satan’s hill considering the Murph was happening on the other side of SOJ. YHC had singed the Q sheet to keep SH open surely not to avoid the Murph. With 4 PAX eagerly awaiting the beatdown we began. COP- various warm up exercises performed . Thang- station time. runner as timer. 4 different exercises including using some resistance bands and jump rope. completed 5 rounds with Mary to round out time. YHC took us out in prayer.

A band of 4 gathered for a early morning jaunt around Western Henrico, Bro Code style Godwin to south on Pump, Left on Falconbridge, Left on Raintree, Left on Windbluff, Right on Willowick, Right on Avenham, Right on Raintree, then repeat the loop and left on Raintree, Left on Ridgefield, left on Glen Eagles, Left on Old Prescott and back to Godwin. 4.2 Miles Announcements/Prayer Request – Pigskin and Gomer while they are on their Honduras trip NMS – quiet morning, typical mumble chatter. Its good to see Hutton settling in as a regular at Currahee
