5 posted on a Sunday evening to prepare and serve food to some awesome folks rehabbing from various surgeries and other ailments The Thang and NMM: F3 RVA has committed to supporting Breaking Bread on Sunday evenings every month going forward.  This was at the second time we have been out there and the second outing was even better than the first. We posted at 530, got dinner ready from folks and began to serve (after an inspiring pre-meal prayer from Toga).  After serving all the patients, we grabbed some food for ourselves and sat down with folks for a…

If you missed out from Sunday’s 3rdF, or you were one of the lucky few and cant wait to do it again…..I have good news! F3 has secured a semi-regular spot in the rotation at Medical Respite dinner serve and share.  The goal was the 4th Sunday of each month, but there are some exceptions to this.  Here are the exact dates: 4/23 5/21 (not 4th Sun) June (not available) 7/23 8/27 9/24 10/29 11/26 12/17 (12/24 can also be arranged if someone feels so moved as to take it) We will be treating this somewhat like a workout.  These…

5 F3 representatives and 1 very awesome Tomato showed up at Medical Respite to serve and share a meal with 7 guests.  Here is a quick summary: Thang: BBQ sandwiches, mac n cheese, green beans (with loads of ham hocks), and brownies for dessert. NMS: Huge tip of the cap to Mrs. Amanda, who got this thing started, and who Lab Rat is lucky enough to work with.  She has an infectiously positive outlook on life, and is the direct cause of F3 being involved in this program.  She also put together most of the meal….the mac-n-cheese alone was worth…

Pax, I need a few volunteers to assist in serving a meal this Sunday 5:30 pm to 7 or so.  The meal will be cooked in advance, so it should be a fairly easy couple hours.  We are expected to serve the guests, then sit and have dinner with them.  I am hoping for 5 volunteers, please respond in the comments below if you are IN.  Family members over the age of 10 are welcome to join as well. Details:  BREAKING BREAD GUIDELINES: MEDICAL RESPITE Thank you for assisting The Daily Planet in serving a hot, nutritious meal to…

All, Our own Phonics heads up this race every year for a great cause.  It is the week after BRR, so everybody should be in great running shape to burn this race down! Seriously, this is a grass roots organization for a great cause headed up by some of the best people I know.  It’s not expensive, it’s not an all day thing, and it is right up F3’s alley.  Grab the family and come on out to support the kids and families that are going thru some really tough times. F3 will also have a booth set up, complete…
