11 braved the pandemic and exceeded the capacity for group settings to run it out. All PAX take the bat cave across the bridge and head west/upstream/to the right. Out in 22 minutes, back in 23. Felt like a holiday with everyone milling about afterwards. Apparently people are not eager to head back to the house for quarantine (cough Saab cough). Solid run folks, basically the flattest you can get out of Spider Run per Swirl, perhaps that’s why YHC claims it a few times a year. Thanks to Bleeder for the title, making reference to the shirt Saab should…

Fourteen men and a canine hit the Tuckahoe region this morning in sublime running conditions. It is hard to beat 56 in early March. The Thang; We gave the bat cave a try today and it was glorious. Other than a possible twisted ankle. Seriously, it is going instantly become a favorite way to leave the depths of the UofR. Everyone took the Batcave out to Huguenot. From there, Huguenot to Westham Station all the way up to Westham. Cross River and enter into the idyllic Westham community. 4s hang a right on Baldwin. Right on Wood. Left on Lakeside…

Twenty one stud muffins emerged from their Dutch ovens looking for a cup of joe and a side of miles, and here’s what they got: Tyler Haynes Commons to Westhampton Way/UR Drive (YHC had planned to venture along the Gambles Mill Eco-Corrider a/k/a the Bat Cave, but not yet open for business — audible called — anyone who does NOT have a broken ankle this morning can thank Shakedown for that); Left on River Road, cut through shopping center parking lot and over Huguenot Bridge, left/East/downstream/thataway onto Riverside Drive 4s: to Rattlesnake Creek and reverso 5s: to Williams Island and…

The 1/21 SpiderRun had a very old school feel to it. A hearty crew of 19 veterans set out in the low 20s weather to jaunt around the Greater Tuckahoe Area. Here’s the thang… Lap around the lake (Heading towards the baseball field). Back at the flag hang a right on Richmond Way and then a right up the hill. At the top of the hill, jump on College Ave towards Boatright. Head down Boatright past the football stadium (on the left) and all the way to Lakewood. We then go to a modified Fudd Run.
