11 warriors posted on a perfect summer day for a run. Route was Mount Henrico. NMM It was high 60’s and raining at the start of the run. It was supposed to be raining all night, but didn’t start til 515 or so. A little chilly waiting in the rain with no shirt on, but perfect once the running commenced Having battled through the heat and humidity of late, it felt great to be able to push and not lose steam. Sippy was in the lead by himself this morning. Although he has done this route a dozen or so…

17 arrived for YHC’s favorite run that forces repeated climbs out of the U of R lake basin via designated roads (aka fingers). Some stuck with a few fingers, some went for the whole fist, and some took a finger that was in the entirely wrong place. Either way, it was a tough run and everyone performed their best. 14 warriors posted on a perfect July Morning. Relatively cool weather for this time or year. Route was up the hill, to St. Christoper Road, right on Patterson. 23 minute out, 22 minutes back. NMM Great weather for a run this time of year, humidity was down and it actually felt a little bit cool out there. Lug and YHC were chasing each other the entire way. Great to have someone to push you along when you want to take a little breather along the way. Thanks to Lug, I made it back to the flag in 21 and a…

12 Dog Park Lovers posted for a new kind of Spider Run in the peaceful gloom this morning. YHC wanted to change things up a bit (to Saab’s liking) and decided to get off the pavement for most of the route. The routes are as follows: Everyone exits campus via UR Drive, Campus Drive, Boatwright Drive to a left on Edgehill Rd to Bandy Field. 1.15 miles Run as many laps around Bandy Field as you wish. Each lap, if you stay on the trail and don’t cut corners, equals .7 miles Return to VSF as you came. 1.15 miles…

A lucky 13 presented themselves at UR Commons to take-in the mild elevation surrounding the campus. Route: Starting at the commons, run up toward campus entrance and take the following roads “UP” toward Three Chopt: Boatwright, Bostwick (dead end), Old Mill, Campus Drive, (then down Towana), Roselawn. 4 Milers return on Ridgeway. 5/6’s take Ridgeway to Fairlawn and go up Tapoan. 6’s then go up Iris. Moleskin: With the BRR coming this fall, YHC wanted to introduce a little hill work. While there may be some tweaking to come, I hope it proved to be somewhat of a challenge for…

Well, if you made this far into the backblast, the title must have caught your eye! 15 strong posted for a version of Splinter’s Countryside Lollipop ROUTE which felt great this morning in the 50 degree gloom. 0528 and the PAX were given instructions for the 4 and 5 miles routes. YHC had already revealed to Saab the 6 mile route via text yesterday, so he could lead them on the long distance run. 0530, let’s go! 4 Mile Route: Around the lake via the trail to a left onto College. Immediate right onto University. University across Westham and Ridge…
