18 runners and ruckers showed up for another beautiful morning here in the Pacific Northwest. Yeah, we get it…your weather sucks. Give us back our 20 degrees and clear winter days like we should have. Enough already with the rain. Despite the dreary start, it was actually a nice morning for a run. We ran the always popular Reverse Carillon route. It’s nice to call it out, because nobody bitches and everybody either knows where to go or tags along with somebody that does. Work got done, that is all. Bleeder heard BT and Lab Rat coming behind and finished…

Spring weather before a wintry mix. Yep, its Richmond. Twenty of RVA’s finest came out to cover miles in this fine city. The Route West on Grove and turn right on the access road in front of the churches. Take a right on St Christophers and a right on Patterson heading east. 4s turn on Westmoreland, 5s on Malvern, and 6s on Nansemond with all taking Grove back to the VSF. Marv took us out. The Moleskin Despite the warm weather, you gotta keep those digits warm. Most of the pre-run chatter was TYA (of all people) commenting on Saab’s…

A solid nineteen came out to taste some early spring weather before winter encloses again. The RoutesNorth on Westmoreland and take a right on Monument. 4s turn on the Boulevard, 5s turn on Allison and then over to Shields, and 6s turn on Harrison. All routes take their respective roads back to Grove and return to the VSF. The Moleskin TYA was on fire pre-run this morning. Jokes, comebacks, one-liners – all were a part of his warm up this morning. Nothing got past him. Post workout chatter has to go to Labrat and Offshore. One has stories of mice…

16 Hardin Road Warriors arrived this morning with one four legged friend in tow to pound the pavement and finish the week off in a glorious fashion. 21 pax and evidently a pair of ghost bikers met the day with ferocity this morning.  Serpentine route maps were handed out and met with groans….but in the end most seemed to like the route.  Shakedown even sent me a pic of the route on a map because he said it looked cool! Nobody got lost, but Singer joked that he got lost because he was looking for Antrim with a “u”…obviously my prowess as as cool looking route designer is not matched by spelling skills!  So much for laminating these maps! Back to the drawing board… No ice or…

20 running RAMM veterans and 3 RAMM Gear guys arrived for some ambulatory activity. THE THANG The old Grove Ave tour 4 milers turn at 195, 5 Milers turn at Roseneath, 6 milers turn at Boulevard to Three Chopt and Back to the Flag. Moleskin As YHC crossed Cary this morning, Big Blue was already preached in the standard location surveying the AO. Swirly gave me the birthday greeting as YHC climbed into the truck. Vinny was not far behind acknowledging the tripping of another decade. With the good fortune of another injury, YHC was able to see everyone while…

15 Cold Steel F3 Rangers arrived at Mary to finish the first full week of 19 off in style…..including one fine canine friend, Sally. YHC tried to come up with a creative route on Thursday but all YHC could think about was Army ROTC and the KISS method-Keep It Simple Stupid. So keeping with my ROTC education, route explained. Down Grove and R on Boulevard. 4 milers run to Christopher Columbus, circle, and back. 5 milers, run to Carillon and back. 6 milers run to Carillon and one loop around Fountain Lake with a lap around the block at Mary….YHC…

Twenty-Seven Runners, including two Swirlys, and a canine covered various distances this morning by foot, pedal, or paw.  Here is what transpired, more or less. The Route East on Grove to Thompson and turn left and then a right on Hanover.  6s do a lap around the Mumford block first before beginning down Grove.  4s take a right on Shield, 5s on Plum, and 6s on Linden with all returning on Grove. The Moleskin Great turn out today for excellent running weather to jump start those New Year’s resolutions.  This also provides a great opportunity to EH runners into our…

14 strong gathered in the rain for a new hill to explore. Directions.  Reverse Carillon route to the edge of Windsor Farms.  Then deviate and turn right on Douglasdale road to go down the hill.  4 milers–go down Douglasdale to the end,  turn around and head back. 5 milers–Run down Douglasdale, but turn right on Loch Lomond, go to dead end and head back to Douglasdale.  Turn right on Douglasdale, go to end, and on the way up the hill turn right to go on the other side of Loch Lomond to the end and back, then head up Douglasdale…

The rain held off just enough for 23 Weather Men and 1 Canine to pound the pavement and start the Christmas Season weekend off with a stellar beginning. Usually the Q initiates go time at 0530 but the PAX was eager to move so off the PAX went at 05:29:40 secs. Prior to the early start, YHC awaited the question from the PAX as to “Who has the Q?” or “Where are we running?” But Saab looks at YHC, “Well, Flatline are we to guess?”  The Route=out and back: Commonwealth to Monument. Monument to Shephard and back=4 miles. Monument to…
