Betty Weaver Elementary

3 strong +1 moseyed into gloom, down the hill around the corner, up the hill, through the shrubs, down the big hill around the loop and back for a 5 mile run. Of course Annie led every step of the way with Honeymoon & POG close in tow.

5 warriors survived this weekend’s Divisional Playoff games and swung their legs out of the bed in time to assemble for some miles at River Run. THANG Run up Twin Team Turn into Powderham Run as many small or large loops as possible. Descend back down Twin Team with about 10 min to go. Total miles run ranged from 4.5-5+ COT – Upchuck took us out. Naked Moleskin 2 large loops were all the front runners could manage, and we were still 2-3 minutes late returning to the flag. Great conversation with Upchuck and Doublemint once we were on the…

Better late than never. Six OGs and one FNG ran loops from Betty Weaver. Run down and around the parking lot at the river landing, return to Betty Weaver and run the bus loop out back. One loop is roughly 1.85 miles. Repeat as much as needed or until 45 minutes has concluded. Welcome FNG Bob Ross from Boston. Bob is Nancy Lopez’s brother-in-law who felt compelled to join us today. His name derives not from his lodging in Boston, not from his tenure at Harvard, and certainly not for his lack of fro-ish hair, but simply that he enjoys…

5 SOJ faithful broke free from the sack to go in search of some flurries. We found them. POG kept his weekday streak alive even though no other NM PAX were in tow today. No Q, No route, No problem….Old Faithful erupted at 0530 and through Tarrington we went. Back to BWES for Number-Rama, Name-A-Rama and YHC took us out. Great work men. Announcements: Rosie’s 12 Days of Christmas is in town for 1-day only. One showing 0530 at NoToll….be there. Its almost as hot a ticket as Hamilton but way cheaper. No More Gumbo For You!

5 Warriors and a speedy dog hit the misty morning at River run this morning. Some got 5 plus, some got 4 plus, some got 3 plus, fun was had by all!

No Q, no problem. We haven’t reversed the OG in a while so YHC spent some time trying to explain the route to the PAX. Apparently the area around the Tarrington clubhouse is more confusing than I realized. Go around the school before heading up Twin Team and then down through Tarrington. Good to have Long Pole out for his first F3 morning run, YHC led him on a little extra through Powderham after Twin Team had it’s way with him. OC and Honeymoon cruised along until Lugnut sped up to join them after his headlamp died. Apologies to the…

Seven gloom warriors posted for an SOJ run by the river. YHC had something a little different in mind, and it went like this: Mosey from Bettie Weaver ES to the JRHS track (.5 mi) 400 x 3 easy on the straights, striders on the turns (90% effort, long strides)400 x 1 recovery 400 x 3 easy on the turns, striders on the straights 400 x 1 recovery 400 x 3 increasing tempo (70%, 80%, 90%)400 x 1 recovery 5 and 6 milers repeat until 06:10… Mosey back to BWES (.5 mi) NMMS: Many thanks to the PAX for getting…

05:29:30 and no one has called out a route yet so YHC stepped up and called it. Up Twin Team, right on Brigstock, out 23, back 22. Running as a pack up Twin Team everyone fell into their pace at the top. Gumbo had to cut out early. OC decided to go rogue and make the full loop coming down Winterfield to Robious for just under 6 miles. As he pulled away on his own he mentioned it to a couple people but no one was exactly sure where he went, we had to circle up without him but he…
