Eight runners and one rucker conquered the fart sack and braved the mists of Mechanicsville on a Tuesday which felt like a Monday. The runners covered between four and five miles, generally traversing Giles and Craney Island. We took an old route I kept Handy to avoid the trails today so that no Pax member would Eat It on slick pavement or roots. The (F3) Saga Begins today for our FNG, Polka, whose love of a Star Wars prequel film nearly led to the unforgiveable Jar Jar Binks moniker, but the Pax decided that name would be in an unforgiveable…

7 brave souls hit the area trails with a bro-code run. Runners launched south into Giles, looping through the northern part of that neighborhood’s paved trails, hitting as many of the paved trails in Taylor Farms as we could, and then finishing off with the generally unpaved, and sometimes rooty, Honey Meadows trails. We saved those for last because they somehow seem dark even after sunrise. We all covered between about 4.3 and 4.7 miles. After numbers and names, Opus took us out. The only announcement was a reminder about the upcoming Memorial Day Convergence. Trail running is my personal…

6 Runners and 2 Ruckers came out for YHC’s start of anniversary week. Route – A simple out and back starting with a loop around the school, turn into Taylor Farm, cross Atlee Station into Chickahominy Oaks, then to the back of the neighorhood before return the same way back for 4 miles A few of us got in some extra credit with Phonics and Speakeasy taking a loop around Honey Meadows on the way back to get closer to 5 miles and YHC getting in a loop around football stadium and HS parking lot to get in 4.5 The…

9 Runners and 1 PAX on gears making a short appearance, enjoy the warm morning for the first run of the week Route – Farmhouse Loop was set the night before with some getting in some “extra” distance so the PAX ran between 4 to 4.5 miles. Opus and Corned Beef got in a walk/run Finally we had ride by with Circle K on his bike stopping by during the COT before head went home. It was good to see him SPIT ON THAT!!

As YHC left his house this morning, he wondered if any PAX members would post in the rain and lighting that was occurring. To his surprise, as he arrived, 3 PAX members were doing jumping jacks. No wait, I got this story all wrong. That is what occurred to YHC 7 years ago on May 2, 2016 at his first post. It’s amazing how quick the time has gone by. Today, YHC arrived at the parking lot of Atlee High School to see 3 runners waiting for directions and suspected 2 ruckers were already doing their route. The Route: Head…

7 runners took off on what YHC figured to be about the flattest route available as several PAX members were recovering from pushing themselves at the 10k Saturday. The PAX stuck together across the front of the schools, into Honey Meadows, and then crossing into Kings Charter. The more ambitious and YHC went a bit further northwest into Castlewood before crossing Atlee Station and meandering their way back via paved paths and neighborhood streets. The less ambitious used paved paths, grassy shoulders, and private driveways. No one was shot or arrested for trespassing as of this writing. One more late-arriving…

Five runners and two ruckers wandered the suburbs in the predawn twilight. For various reasons the running PAX was happy to keep things on the easier side this week. Runners covered 4-4.5 miles before meeting the ruckers for CB to take us out. We wish our PAX members facing health issues speedy recoveries and look forward to seeing them back out soon.

9 Davillians and 1 Down Range Jersey man enjoy a nice reunion this morning for the first run of the week. Route Headed down the sideway of the two school then turned into far entrance of Giles onto Hill fork Drive. Took a left onto Pleasant Level Rd unto the roundabout before heading to the back out Giles. Heading up hill on Giles Pond Dr then took the cut through into Craney Island. 4.5 milers – Headed to the back of Craney Island for the down and up hill before looping around the neighborhood to Carpenter’s old house and head…

So with Spring Break in full swing this morning YHC decided to get this to be a 1st and 2nd F event. Five brothers posted this am for a run and ruck walk and here is what went down: Yardsale and YHC did a lap around the schools at a ruck walk pace and this took about 27 minutes (2 miles). Hash, Mr Holland and Tonka ran to the gate to Kings Charter and back for 3.5 miles and we circle up at 6am for COT. Next we all drive over to Rise and Shine for an early morning 2nd…

The ruckers both respectful were the first to heed the call, And they set out at 5 sharp to the wonderment of all. The runners next took off and ran, four this way and three that, On a route made for speed, all paved and generally flat. The runners four struck north then west, moderate in pace, With 4 plus miles the goal they reached, contentment on their face. The runners three sought 5 that day so through the gloom they sped, “This ain’t my pace,” said Holland. “I’m off,” M. Polo said. As runners neared the end they all…
