4 swift of feet joined YHC for some off the books elevation change on the best hills SOJ has to offer. Since we made it official with a COT, I should give the PAX their deserved data points. I don’t want Heist or Swoop to miss out since they are near the top of the leaderboard. YHC and Doozy rolled around Tarrington for a bit before Yeehaw, Swoop and Heist joined us for a trip to check on Gumbo’s old house followed by a venture up Twin Team. 5 miles, EHing some ruckers, and a coffeeteria (with another EH) we…

With the new addition to my family, sometimes you just have to go off the books. Three hard chargers gather in the early mornings to get some work in The warm up: Mosey to the tennis courts, Slide Straddle Hops, Cherry pickers, Imperial Walker, Arm circles. Mosey to the basketball court. NASCAR (Indigenous circle run) Round 1 Merkins, WWII, Lunges once all three hard chargers completed a lap, repeat, x4 rounds Mosey back to parking lot Blue Falcon Merkins, top secret merkin workout. Want in? Stop over. 10 minutes left, Strong finish Triple Check: Heals to Heave, Squat Jumps, Run…

5 of RVA’s elite rucking crew threw on some weighted packs, grabbed some extra weight, and headed out for the morning. Route was Libbie Market, down the hills to the bat cave and to the Huguenot Bridge – cup o’ joe on the bridge, back up the hills. Tclaps to Heist for grabbing the extra 40# and not giving it up for the return up the hills. Good to see the large Sunday Funday crew at Libbie Market post ruck. More ruck options coming up – tomorrow am at The Forge, 0530 GTE 47 Training Ruck Sunday at 0600 -…

On a crisp morning at Winterfield Crossing, a picturesque park nestled amidst rolling hills and towering trees, the scene was set for a gathering of fitness enthusiasts and thoughtful conversationalists alike. Two runners and three walkers had assembled, each with their agenda for the day’s activities. Honeymoon and Gumbo, the dynamic duo of the running world, wasted no time in lacing up their sneakers and setting off on a brisk run. Theirs was a mission of speed and stamina, as they aimed to conquer the winding paths and undulating terrain. Meanwhile, Aisle 5, Nancy, and Cookie, the trio of walkers,…

Just another Sunday OTB. 4 2-legged runners followed our favorite 4-legged pace car for some flat miles (6.25) through Salisbury. We passed Draper’s house and sent some healing vibes his way. Heal that ankle up quickly brother. Coach OshA entertained us with some of his current cases. I think Boberry may be contemplating a career change but I’ll leave that to others to inquire. Poor Annie wore off some pads on her paws dragging Honeymoon around today. Tough work Annie. Heal up quickly girl. 3 walkers solved all the worlds problems and shared tea bags afterwards…don’t ask. Another great OTB.…

Bermuda boys brought 4 PAX to beef up the back and biceps – barbaric body weight brutality to brighten our Friday! #Alliteration. YHC has a love/hate relationship with pull-ups – but given the amount of “push” (Chest, Tris) we do during F3, it takes some focused efforts to target the back/bis/rear chain. Today was all about the pull-up! Nearly 100 were completed (PERFECT FORM! ha) during the following circuits… 1 mile Warm-up JOG OYO Stretches COP 1 – Pullup Ladder 1 P/U (all 4 Pax rotate thru, short break b/w each set) 2 P/U 3 P/U 4 P/U 5 P/U…

Two SOJ vets gathered back at buttermilk trail this morning for some ruck training. The trails were quiet this morning as we rucked 5.5 miles. As we came to our turn around point we ran into Fudd and the boys out for their morning trail run. Great work guys! F3 was taking over the trails this morning! Grateful for the weather and the quality conversation. Have a great day!

Three men launched from just outside Belle Isle Park at 6a for a 2 hour, ~6.5 mile Ruck throughout the Buttermilk Trails. Morning temperatures were perfect for getting after it to start the weekend off right. PAX enjoyed a casual hike filled with banter and even made a mid-hike pit stop at Dogpile just in time to join Handshake and the PAX as they closed with COT. First bumps and welcomes from all at Dogpile before turning around to complete the remaining ~3 miles back to our starting point. Excellent view of the sunrise while crossing Nickel Bride and grateful…

Five runners started off their Sunday right by hitting the mean streets of Midlothian. Pretty standard southern route that got us 6 miles. Great company and great conversation followed by more 2nd F at Starbucks. After the run, YHCs watch said that one more minute of vigorous exercise was needed to hit the weekly quota. Great ideas followed on how to hit that last minute. Enjoy your Sunday fellas!

6 SOJ ruckers, an F3 runner and some friends met Off the Books for ruck training around TwinTeam. Draper and some coworkers ran off into the Gloom in search of some hills while the rest of us hit the streets toward Robious Landing Park. What looked like a cliff near the river turned out to be the overflowing banks of the James. As most of the trails circle around to the river, access was not to be found today. Hopefully not too much damage to the park or floating docks. The only reasonable alternative was hit the TwinTeam hill, the…
