3 departed the pump house for varying routes and distances, encountering pleasant scenery along the way. Announcements: Bear Creek 10m (December)Bel Monte Ultra(s) – (March) Saab out

3 runners sporting 8 total legs joined 5 bikers on 10 wheels for today’s version of 70 and sunny for Sunday Funday. According to the sleeping hippie biker in Oregon Hill, this is what woke him up today… Mountain bikers: warm-up on the pipe loop in Dogwood Dell Park, then head east on North Bank Trail. Hardywood, Brexit, and “Joey” (who is not an Australian kangaroo) continued east at high speed until disappearing in a dust cloud, purportedly returning to their aboriginal lands in various South Bank neighborhoods. Shakedown guided Corned Beef through the most challenging and technical ride of…

Eight strong humans and one canine posted on a Sunday morning for a jaunt on the trails. We took the north bank past the entrance to the T. Pottersfield and onto the pipe (poop) loop. We then made our way back to the parking lot via the northbank. Saab took to the streets and made his way back on the trails. Flipper posted early and got in 10 miles. Great to have the newmarket crew out there today. A couple folks punching the ticket for the end of the summer tour. Congrats guys. Flipper got YHC in trouble this morning,…

Rosie ran the roads. Flange and Hardywood hit the trails with mountain bikes. Bootleg was spotted logging some miles on foot. Flipper and Vinny posted early and logged extra miles. Faceplant, Marco Polo, and YHC plus the K9s ran Northside to Southside, crossing at Belle Isle. With this crew, as you might imagine, the pace was pretty brisk. Parker and Sally modeled excellent F3 behavior by looking out for each other and the other PAX, drinking plenty of water, pushing themselves when they were tired, being courteous to bikers, and sometimes coming when they were called.

Eight (?) runners took on the trails, or roads, in various directions. The main contingent took North Bank to Potts to Butter Milk. Temps and humidity made for a tough run for all. Although the run was a slog conversion was lively. YHC thinks there is a doctoral thesis to be had on F3RVA Big Data: Positive data and negative behavioral effect. Offshore threw out a light theological question of “Who Gets into Heaven and How?” Marco Polo failed on his assigned task of keeing Pink Lady in visual contact while crossing the bridge. Flipper is ready for BRR, Lab…

5 posted on a perfect August morning. Yes, perfect. For this time of year, the weather could not have been better. It was south of 70 degrees, lower humidity and dew point. It actually felt a little chilly when you were not running. Flipper and TYA launched early and did the South to North loop adding in Forrest hill for a cool 10 milers. Offshore and Flange did the South North with Swiper. Swiper was off at the end to add a few extra miles to better prepare for grandfather mountain at the BRR. TYA OUT

Just a bunch of familiar faces out for a loop around the river this morning. Lab Rat was fresh off vacation and was glad to see some male buddies after a week with the family. Shakedown was out testing the waters with Maple, the new pup on her longest run to date….she did great! Good to see Gomer, whom I havent seen in a minute…he’s looking spry as ever and singing the praises of Cortizone. Saab did his regular road thing, but thought enough of us to meet at the COT and share a bite afterwards at ET’s. Lots of…

First off, Tclaps to Doozy for completing the Summer Tour with a speedy tour of the trails. YHC rolled in at 6:59:45 AM to a crowd of men getting ready for a run. Double Mint and three others (FNGs?) took off toward Buttermilk. YHC: Where are they going? PAX: I don’t know. YHC: What are we doing? PAX: I don’t know. There’s this trail right over here… So YHC, Doozy, Marco Polo, Swiper, and Oyster took off on Northbank and Saab hit the roads. Oyster turned back early. The rest went Northbank to TPot to Buttermilk in a speedy 70-75…

Six humidity warriors hit the trails this morning. TYA and Saab went early. Never saw Saab but TYA had. There were fifty new trail runners out for their first go at the circuit this morning all wearing red shirts. Lots of late summer ?s as well. Good work out there this morning, men. YHC took us out

In the 1 year and 2 months that YHC has been posting with F3, today was the first visit to Sunday Funday.  As YHC was coming across the Nickel Bridge at 6:55, Saab was spotted running across the bridge in the other direction.  YHC thought he had missed the one and only guy that showed up.  Not to be discouraged, YHC continued on to the parking lot only to see no other familiar vehicles, donning the F3 logo.  Again, to not be discouraged, YHC decided a run was still in the making.  As YHC got out of the truck, an unfamiliar face emerged…
