A bunch of bikers and a separate group of runners joined for another rendition of a RAMM/RAMM Gears, Amateur Day. YHC isn’t sure where the runners were seeing as they launched at various times but RAMM Gears did the Reverse Carillion route with a few additional laps around the lakes. Whitesnake takes the price for most crazy bike/outfit/ensemble. He was dressed as the kid from ET and he had ET riding in the basket on the front of the bike. Announcements – The Bridge Q tomorrow for TYA. Anyone that wants to Clown Car with him should give him a…

17 strong posted on another steamy morning to run and cycle some miles. Route – serpentine. Zig zag back and forth, parallel to Grove, between Hamilton and Shadwell/alley deadend, running on Hanover, Stuart, Kensington and Leonard. 4s turn home on Westmoreland, 5s on Woodlawn, 6s finish at Hamilton back up to Grove and home. In honor of our brother Lab Rat, who invented this route many years ago. It’s a pleasant, no hill, low traffic route and if you need to cut off early, you’re always near the school. SOJ takeover continues through the weekend. Backblast title was in reference…

Beautiful morning for a run through the Fan. Stuart and Floyd were our main arteries. Great mumble chatter in the group. YHC took us out.

No Q on the sheet today. Most runners ran the serpentine route, bikers biked, good cardio was had by all. Make a good one guys.

11 two-leggers and one two-wheeler (yeah, RAMM Gears, we see you!) braved the heavy air and avoided the flooding on Groooooove to take in the ever-challenging routes that are an everyday part of the RAMM. Conditions were ever-constant at 70 and sunny. According to the woman reading her phone while driving and turning and nearly running over Bodo’s (VA Plate: 1 MOBJAK), the following likely happened: Route: Commonwealth. 45 minutes of Commonwealth. If you are not on Commonwealth, you have made a wrong turn. Marketing Distraction (the PAX saw through this): run a giant suicide on Commonwealth. Grove to Franklin…

A gaggle of runners and a resurgence of bikers convened at RAMM for some running and cycling. No one had signed up so YHC quickly plotted a simple route. Only 3 turns, yet Hitchhiker somehow asked more questions than there were turns. Classic Fan route today. The Route East on Grove4s left on Boulevard5s left on Shields6s left on PlumLeft on MonumentLeft on Westmoreland Numbers, names, swarming by cyclists before YHC took us out. Moleskin Today, post run/cycle, we reminisced with stories of a former PAX member. While not a regular and not recent, he always had a way of…

It’s spring already? Off we went to Scott’s Addition via a passage down Commonwealth to Monument to Roseneath. 4s hang a right at The Veil on Clay, right on McTavish, Tilden to Kennsington to Patterson, to Commonwealth to the AO. 5s and 6s continue on Roseneath and a right on Norfolk, and a right on Blvd. 5s bring it home on Kennsington to Patterson to Commonwealth. 6s head down to Byrd Park, a right on Shepard to Grove and home. Upchuck took us out. Moleskin Great conversation today with the pack YHC was running with. It makes the miles fly…

Nine lunar zealots plus two in search of blinking red lights convened via multiple parking spots for a variation of an oldie. Most everyone listened and followed the instructions that started with East on Grove: 4s & 6s right on Sheppard5s right on boulevard everyone south on boulevard4s right on Grant5s right on Douglasdale6s do the pump house loop then left on DouglasdaleRight on McCloyLeft on Cary Numbers, names, and YHC took us out. Moleskin I am sitting here in the early am, unable to sleep, trying to think of something witty to write as part of a backblast. As…

10 Pax launched at various times, with various distances, and from multiple locations; but they all converged at the end. Routes varied, but here is one used by the 530 crowd. West on Grove, right on Libbie, right on Patterson, right on Malvern, right on Grove. aka the Zoolander route. YHC took us out. While everyone ran alone or in pairs, it was great to converge at the end to catch up and some levity (as always). YHC’s 2.0 enjoyed the run today and we hope to see him back out soon.

A dozen plus additional bikers out on the road arrived for this week’s installment. Trying to find visual relief from the stadium lights, the Pax assembled in the shadows of the trees prior to launch. East on Grove and north on Lafayette, and east on Monument. 4s turn right on Sheppard, 5s on Strawberry, and 6s on Lombardy. All pick up Hanover for the western return, jumping over to Grove at Thompson. Bodos took us out. Congratulations to Pigskin for a successful Fleed to Bleed. Well done!
