Mary Munford Elementary

A group of people ran, rucked, or rode and seemed to have a good time doing it.

YHC returned to his old, pre-F3 haunts for a run down memory lane. Somehow the hills in the Hillcrest portion of memory lane had gotten bigger. And I don’t remember memory lane being so rainy. But the nostalgia remained strong. The route went north to Park, then traveled west until we could take a straight shot down into Hillcrest’s front entrance. After the full Hillcrest loop, runners then selected their route through Windsor Farms based on their personal ambitions for the day. Some (Sippy Cup and Phonics) were more ambitious than others (YHC). After even the most ambitious had returned…

Despite the low volume there was little Takeover. 3 formidable fiends and one 4 legged friend on crutches knocked out varying ranges of miles and meters. Brief discussion about those who are abroad and across the pond. Great to see TYA do laps around Mary despite 2 days after surgery….the man is intrepid…much respect. Hitchhiker wants YOU to play pickleball…. apparently that’s a thing…. Saab abides

The gravity of Mary Munford was strong this am, pulling people in at 0530 and once again at 0615. Runners all did the same thing. Riders did something. Here is what the runners did. The Route 4s: https://onthegomap.com/s/5qsculu5 5s: https://onthegomap.com/s/e2gvt3lp Numbers, names, people strolled in, people rolled out. YHC took us out. Moleskin Great to see faces of those that have battled health challenges and to have them back out tackling the day. There was also an instance of someone who miraculously has already recovered from surgery that has not yet happened. YHC wants to specifically thank Pigskin for navigating…

This run around the neighborhood happened over a month and I just blatantly forgot to put it in. I’m sorry about that and I hope you guys forgive me. This was the annual “don’t want to pay $40 for the 10K run? We’ve got you.” juaunt down Commonwealth and then east on Monument. Run for 22:30 minutes and then run back to the flag. I think next year I might plunk down the cash…get in early and then run it. It’s a fun event with lots of people cheering you on. That is taking nothing away from Splinter and Sippy…

Great morning for a run. 20 strong out at RAMM: 4 mile – GROVE east to left on Tilden to left on Kensington to Patterson west. Left on Harlan Circle to right on GROVE & back to the flag 5 mile – GROVE east to left on Boulevard. Left on Patterson. Left on Harlan Circle to left on GROVE & back to the flag. 6 mile loop – GROVE east to left on Boulevard. Left on Patterson to right on Antrim. Cross Monument and left on Fitzhugh. Left on Chantilly to Right on Patterson. Left on Harlan Circle to left…

A 14 Biker Runner Combo descended upon Mary Munford to attack the day. YHC was originally planning on tagging along with Bodos, Fudd and Splinter since this was my first post at RAMM, but alas they are out of town and there was no Q. Here’s the boring rectangular route with all left turns YHC came up with : 4’s : From Mary Munford, head down Commonwealth towards Patterson, Left on Patterson, Left on Maple Ave, Left on Grove then BTTF 5’s : After finishing the 4’s route, left on Commonwealth, Left on Patterson, Left on Bunting Ave, Left on…

With no Q on deck, YHC took the torch and planned the route. YHC was introduced to this route by Oyster and YHC has wanted to do it again for a while now – so perfect opportunity. The route is simple head down Grove, take a left on Three Chopt, then an immediate right and run down to the end of the cul-de-sac and back. I think the PAX was a little worried at first given YHC’s directional challenges however everyone made it back and no one got lost. For the 6s you have to do a bit extra, for…

Thankful for all the small things today, this crew covered a traditional route that included Monument and Grove. Classics never go out of style.

Four nincompoop runners accompanied three nincompoop ruckers for today’s RAMM. Yesterday’s slack teaser only resulted in a few takers; perhaps without the teaser no one would have shown. These are today’s questions that will never be answered. The Route Inspired by last week’s personal diversion coming back from Monument, this week’s route promised to be the simplest complex route ever. Course boundaries were Hamilton to the east, Broad to the north, and Chantilly to the west. Start by turning right on Grove. Take first left. Then first right, left, right, left, etc. until you reach a boundary. Once a boundary…
