10 Redwoods met to run the mean streets of the West End on a beautiful cool morning.  The route was one of our best:  5 milers Pump, Church, across Gayton ES, to Poplar Forest and return on Ridgefield.  4 mi, peel off at Copperas. YHC took us out.  Prayers for Gypsy’s 2.0, those that litter the earth, those that need a helping hand. 2nd F Coffeeteria at Dunkin. Another Friday and another route out of Goodwin HS for RVAs best running AO: Currahee. we went for the hill at the end this time and pulled out the Crazy 8. A 5+ mile course with Glenn Eagles uphill at mile 3.5 just for fun. Great conversation pace and interesting topics along the way. see you guys next week. Gypsy

With no volunteer Q, the first to speak picked the Handshake. Right on Pump, straight to JRP Left on Pump, back on JRP/Pump 4.5 return on 3 Chopt, 5 return thru the park, 6 go to broad. Hutton took us out.  Dunkin’ for 2f. NMS – the handshake scores low on the Currahee route creativity scale, only bested by the out and back on Ridgefield and the out and back on Pump. But it is challenging to great list and safely devoid of adventure. In truth, this extreme simplicity also adds a level of apparent safety despite the west end…

Another month down which means last Friday Bro-code route. Good crew coalesced on a humid August morning to knock out 4 miles at a conventional pace and turn backs at the corners for the 6. Conversation ranged to 1st week of school to college drop offs to names of guys in the MLB. Conclusion… there are no current house hold MLB plays right now and Hutton named off a bunch of them. We didn’t know any of them. way to many announcements to remember. Gomer just kept tossing more and more of them so talk to him about sit and…

Confused by Gypsy’s assertion that the route was a line, 8 studs launched to find it was definitely not a line. Here’s where they went: The Route R on Pump R on Buffapple L on Singingwoods R on Brookmont L on Cox all the way to the end and back L on Ridgefield R on Falconbridge R on Pump Back to SF Numberama, Nameorama, COT MOLESKIN Guys fresh of vacation, pups coming of the IR, various health issues, hills, and an overabundance of ball sweat made for a tough run today. All made it back safely, however. YHC will wear…

With only 3 men present (and a dog), we took off to the North, out of habit really. Since everyone was amenable to running the hills and dead ends off of Glen Eagles Dr., that’s what we did – followed by a couple of laps around John Rolfe Square, before a return to Godwin HS. But along the way, we had a robust conversation about religion: naive faith vs. cynical skepticism, strict vs. loose interpretations of spiritual writings, and the benefits of vs. the catastrophes caused by faith. We touched on the story of Noah’s Ark. When the Flood (the…

Great morning to run for the Friday morning runners. Small group today so Mr Rogers decided that we should do hills, ran over to Glen Eagle hit several streets with hills to climb up and return back down, then over to Pump and a few circles around John Rolf Square. Much discussion today about religion, the origin, study and belief of faith. How literal and Academics dissect Christ and Gods existence mostly relating to Heaven and Hell today. Nice run, 5.25 miles covered at an 8:34 pace.

6 studs and 3 canines got after it despite pouring rain at go time. Route is to the short pump park and back. Some walked doggos Pinto took us out. Prayers for healing and travelers. Coffeeteria at Dunkin NMS- it’s tough to get up in the dark and head out into pouring rain, but you will always be better for it.  The solid rain abated around 550 and the cooler but not cold temperatures were worth it. Get some!

Seven studs braved the gloomy early morning heat (82F) for a little Bro Code – sorta. Two ran faster, Two ran slower, one walked a Lulu, two walked each other. Few others out. Brocode route today. Hutton took us out. NMS – all too busy for coffeeteria. Great to see Whitesnake back out. TIL Economics in Latin era originally only covered the home business, loosely what we would call micro today. Get Some!
