Ten showed up on a cold morning and split up into three groups. Pigskin and Tonka ran around the school and did 200 merkins and likely dips, squats and other fun. A locked down track forced Gypsy, Gomer and Blue Moon to do a mix of running and walking around the parking lots. The remaining five “healthy” ones of me, Hutton, Handshake, Lighthouse & Mr. Rogers (and two dogs) did 5 miles that included Ridgefield to John Rolfe to Pump to Church to Lake Lorraine and back down Pump to Godwin. On the way up John Rolfe, we passed many…

5 Currahee stalwarts gathered for another Brocode run in reverse order on a warm day. Pigskin took us out.  Prayers for healing.

Five super studs met on a warm fall morning to avoid Gypsys threat of interval training, and see what Gomer Pyle had in store. The route was the reverse brookmont, which caused some consternation as it’s never been named before. PAX quickly understood the route and we were on the go. Some rabbits forgot the name of some critical streets (which happens often among the twisty streets in the West End). We accomplished the route with minimal difficulty. Our fast runners actually found time to put on a lot of extra distance which set Lighthouse up for a very fast…

Reading the new post by Kabota on what’s happening this week and remembered I forgot to write the Currahee BB. While a few core Currahee pax went SOJ to capture the flag, 6 held the line back home. Eight bionic men assembled for the latest edition of Currahee. Temperatures were 70 and sunny. According to the other two guys who run from Currahee at 5:30, the following might have happened. Bro-Code, both a route and a style. Or, more specifically, reverse bro-code with, apparently, a missed turn. Who knows. Numbers, names, YHC took us out with a reminder that stress in life can produce unnecessary tension. When under stress, intentionally increase patience and understanding. NMS: Lulu was in full stride today, as was Wally, whose first name is actually William, but the nickname comes from his second name,…

A 5+ mile course with Glenn Eagles uphill at mile 3.5 just for fun. Great conversation pace and interesting topics along the way. see you guys next week. Gypsy

With no volunteer Q, the first to speak picked the Handshake. Right on Pump, straight to JRP Left on Pump, back on JRP/Pump 4.5 return on 3 Chopt, 5 return thru the park, 6 go to broad. Hutton took us out.  Dunkin’ for 2f. NMS – the handshake scores low on the Currahee route creativity scale, only bested by the out and back on Ridgefield and the out and back on Pump. But it is challenging to great list and safely devoid of adventure. In truth, this extreme simplicity also adds a level of apparent safety despite the west end…
