Pocahontas Middle School

Hi all.. hope all is well. My ego is still recovering fron another WTH beatdown. Every once in a while you have to break out an old beatdown that sucked.. Welp.. the WTH parking deck is just such an occasion. It’s super simple on paper but not in execution. 4 pax joined in.. disclaimers given and off we go. Mosey from AO at Pocahontas Middle school to Short Pump Back St 4 story parking deck. COP: some SSH, some IW, some windmills The Thang: The Parking Deck (WIB) Do 20 of call exercise at top of each ramp and the…

Four mighty mighty redwoods meet to see what was in store for them. This is what went down more or less. Mosey to the ACAC parking deck. Stopping at each highway or parking sign for 10 squats along the way and 10 ab exercises at each intersection. We lost count but there are a lot of signs. Ladder up the parking deck with 10 merkins each landing. 1.5 mi at this point. Concerned about timing and distance completed, s0tarted back. 5 min of Mary to wrap it up. We would have had time to ladder down the parking deck -…

Five of us ran 3.7 miles today exploring Wellesley. Pyro was downrange from Jax and was amazed by Pigskin. But it was Lighthouse who told the story of getting a Senior discount at Einstein Bagels. Besides running and warmups, we did sets of LBCs & Heals to Heaven in a culdesac & some sets of dips and incline merkins at the romantic gazebo (no fancy cocktails included). A little more running than normal and the only complaints were from Blue Moon’s “good” knee. Nice to have a guest today. Pyro had met some of you but it sounds like it…

Five brave souls showed up on a dark, early, wet morning with bright stars. We did one of the usual culdesacs routs. After a warm-up in the first culdesac, we did 15 Hand-Release Merkins and 30 two-count Flutterkicks on one side and 10 Carolina Dry Docks and 60 LBCs on the other side. Didn’t have time to run around lake, so went directly back to the Flag.

Roger Roger took us to Short Pump Park and Pigskin joined us for the first half. We did a total of 3.1 miles that day. According to my Garmin, it involved something difficult on the SPES football field. I count 1200 yards of running with exercises every 25 yards. Maybe is was a Beast but don’t recall. We are now ready to file our 10-Q. Highlights include an average 5.1 attendees with a high of 8 and a low of 2. That’s a YoY increase of 18% from last Q1’s 4.3 average. We had 6 different Q over 12 weeks…

With Q1 complete, an Backblast audit was needed to ensure we could file the WaThoHuk 10-Q. A couple discrepancies were found. This one involved a T.A.C.O. workout at the opening day of Torchy’s Tacos. We first ran to the Torchy parking lot across Broad. Some teenage kids were already in line for free Queso and joined us for a bit. We did four corners with four exercises that spelled TACO. You’ll have to ask Roger Roger what they were. We then ran to the West Broad Village pond and met up with Pigskin. I took us up on a hill and…

Great morning for a run focused bootcamp. 3.5 miles and some good ole fashion beach body sculpting along the way. Everyone arrives on time except the pax that said he would Q today. No worries. We are all vets at this now.. away we go to for the WTH version of 4 corners. Warm up mosey from Pocahontas middle school to corner of Old Brick and John Rolfe. COP: Ukrainian soldiers, Ab Bogota, Big Arm circles. The Thang: 4 Corners. The Route: John Rolfe to Broad Broad to Brownstone Blvd Brownstone to Perch Ln (over to Old Brick. Old Brick…

Four showed up this cold clear morning to take on this great AO. 3 of us ran a little over 3 miles and also did 7’s with burpees and merkins, a Quarter Pounder with merkins, LBCs, Squats and SSH and 2/3 of a triple check of WWIIs, Flutters and some more running. Pigskin got over a mile and a half in before doing laps around the school with stations of merkins and dips. It was cold but a gorgeous morning and the exercises looking up at the sky were the best. This was my first AO in a week with…

Almost full moon and pretty bright, very nice. Continuing Heart Break Ridge trend, attendance was pretty low, White Snake and YHC. Since White Snake is preparing for Bear Creek run, YHC suggested just a run. After a short discussion, the suggestion was approved. We ran to the end of Three Chopt, then came back on Broad Street, went around the lake and came back to the flag. That gave us four miles and 35 minutes. We got the last mile on the track, though White Snake slacked off a bit complaining about his overworked legs. Given his difficulties with five…

We had a guest from F3 Blueridge, Inbox, and we took him on a tour of Short Pump Park. Pigskin stayed behind and worked his butt off while circling the school. After a 3/4 mile run and a short warm-up, we did a modified Cooper. Three exercises in a row, then a run around the path (about 150 meters) then repeat. Start with ten reps of each exercise, then 9, then 8, etc. The three exercises were Burpees, Squats and Merkins. Gets the heart rate up good for twenty minutes. We then did a triple check with WWI, WWII and…
