Ten beautiful men tried to recreate Honeydo and Whitesnake’s Lost route from a couple months back. Most were scared off by the smoke monster and did Prescott/Ridgefield into the Rolfield subdivision to John Rolfe and then took Gayton all the way to Pump and then back to Godwin. Blue Moon and I ventured into the Gayton Glen subdivision off John Rolfe (the scene of the crime), left onto Timberly Waye, right on Ryandale down to the Steward School and then left on Gayton, left on Pump. We avoided any hostiles & polar bears and survived. 4-5.1 miles were run depending…

Eight was enough for another end of month Brocode. Traditional route this morning: North on Pump, left on Church to left Copperas, left on Ridgefield back to Pump and then home. Lighthouse and I forgot about the turning back for the six until we were midway on Church but from that point forward the full group did as we were supposed to. Announcements: Beer Mile this Saturday Gypsy took us out

Seven svelte stallions met up for perfect running weather. YHC planned on the DRP / Brookmont route, aka the park route. This route is a little over 5mi and the PAX rocked it. (6 is easy to get to with a few loop extensions easily seen below. 4s mostly ran into the park and then back out along Ridgefield. No fauna sightings on this route. The DRP back parking lot is still under construction. This is a blow up of the park. Just stay to the right til you get to the back parking log. YHC took us out. Prayers…

The Speed For Need made its debut at Currahee this past Friday. A quick safety lesson to cover insurance obligations then we took off for a run. The roads and route don’t matter because YHC just makes up names for the roads anyway. Maybe one day I will remember the names but in the mean time we turn left anf right at known land marks.. like the left turn at the dead end of the hilly road.. and right turn at Dunkin to go around the shopping area… heck it is dark out.. you can’t read the signs anyway. we…

A dozen runners plus two dogs took a cruise down Lake Lorraine on a beautiful Friday morning. The route was North on Pump, right on Church, right on Lake Lorraine–in this neighborhood, go left every time you are given the choice, hit two cul-de-sacs and work your way up the hill and back to Church. Then either John Rolfe to Glen Eagles to Ridgefield to the flag for 4.5 miles or John Rolfe all the way to Ridgefield to the flag for 5.1 miles. It is great to see Blue Moon running again and Mr. Rogers having the day off…

11 of F3RVA’s finest gathered for this months episode of Brocode, Currahee style. Mills Godwin, North on Pump, West on Ridgefield, South on Lauderdale and back. Slight detour on the back in which we “lost” Pigskin, Honeydo, and Roger Roger. Luckily Roger, Roger used his ability to navigate by the stars as an Pilot and they figured out the way home. I love this crew at Currahee. Ride or die, bad boys for life. Announcements – The Hard Way at Dogpile led by Circle K tomorrow. Tater Q at Gridiron. Shawn G Hogan Memorial Beer Mile on Oct 29th at…

10 towering redwoods were happy for the cooler weather and easier breathing. 5mi Route was into the Canturbury rabbit warren and true to form we missed at least one turn. Glad that the PAX know the AO better – we can now be more creative. 4milers grousing about the return route along pump jeopardizing their running safety missed the suggestions for a reduced traffic route. After 2 attempts, YHC let them find their own route. All ran happy. 5mi Canturbury route YHC likes this route as the slow climb on the back end is good training. The reverse route seems…

With a deliberately long route planned for Gypsy, YHC and five others took to the hilliest streets of the West End. Gypsy was on assignment, but here’s where the rest went: The Route R on PumpR on RidgefieldR on FalconbridgeL on RaintreeContinue across Gayton to Chauncey to Waltham (Go desired distance)Reverso Waltham to Chauncey across Gayton to RaintreeL on FalconbridgeR on PumpBack to VSF Numberama, Nameorama, COT MOLESKIN Currahee is typically not quite as hilly as SpiderRun, but YHC tried to find its best impersonation today. Good pace with Pinto and Lighthouse leading the way. All returned nearly on time,…

Nine ran around the West End to parts YHC doesn’t recall, but there were loops around a townhouse or condo community to determine the desired mileages. Backblast was timely-ish.

With BRR live, five men took to the mean streets surrounding Godwin HS in their honor.  According to the interweb, the route should have been a public hair shy of 5 miles, though Gypsy’s watch said otherwise.  Nonetheless appropriate mileage was accomplished.  Here’s where they went: The Route R on PumpL on RidgefieldR on CopperasR on Little League DriveFollow main road up and around TSI Training CenterExit TLL complex passing Field 10 over to Field 4 and through the pathwayL on John RolfeR on PumpFinish with a loop of Godwin Numberama, Nameorama, COT MOLESKIN YHC figured numbers would be low…
