YHC had a research conference in Atlanta for a few days and found the “Hope” AO within a few blocks of the hotel. YHC did a little recon Thursday during a break in the conference and ended up having a great conversation sharing a frozen curb alongside a homeless man named “Rich.” As I have found all over the world where I’ve invested time with humanity in the gutter, there’s a story there worth listening to and a soul worth loving. Hope AO is self-described as “A partnership between F3 Atlanta and The Atlanta Mission/Shepherd’s Inn. The Shepherd’s Inn is…
YHC was downrange with 21 Carpex HIM’s for a soggy Thanksgiving convergence. BB from Tea Party below: Not much to say, just a perfectly executed Thanksgiving Convergence by the amazing co-Qs. Coco Crisp led our warmup, which quickly devolved into Angry Coco handing out 20 penalty burpees. On average, the PAX completed about 4 each. Thang 1: Partner 7s around the Arts Center. Started to drizzle near the end. Thang 1.5: Quick partner bear crawl exercise, where the smart PAX used the sidewalk rather than the pavement. Thang 2: Very creative Paula Abduls starting at the Arts Center…
Traveling for work and found my self in Greenville, NC this week. Had a great work out with these guys at the Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium home of East Carolina Pirates. Showboat was the Q and the workout involved 17 of us, he kept everyone involved with leading. Great turnout down here and great group of guys. Feeling very grateful that I stumbled across f3 to the thanks of Pool Boy. I now use this as my anchor when I’m out of town for work. It’s such a great thing we all have here. Screenshot
One dashing hee-man launched at 5 to get in 5 in the latest edition of The Clinic. Temperatures were 70 and sunny. According to the DHL workers “meeting at 6 in the lobby,” the following might have happened: Northbound, over Peters, parallel to University, left, north, then reverso at Broward, and BTTVSF. 5 or so. Number, name, and YHC took himself out with a prayer for leaders who support their teams with actual actions. Actions speak loudly; words fill empty space. Announcements: Breaking Bread this weekend needs a Q. Check the sheet. 5:30 p.m. at Southside Medical Respite. Make dinner…
Taking advantage of a open slot on the Q sheet, YHC led a workout at a geographically representative proximal location of the Clinic. This workout included 45 minutes of “strenuous” cycling followed by 3x 30 leg lifts, 4x 8 curls and 3x 25x merkins. NMS – I see the appeal of this AO – lightly organized and lightly attended, it provides the opportunity for reflection and introspection with a side of bewilderment. Since 2F was lightly attended, so that the PAX dont feel left out, some of those musings are presented thus: Why do people walk on the clearly differentiated…
One intrepid PAX launched in the pre-dawn darkness for the latest edition of The Clinic, SoCal Edition. Temperatures were 70 and sunny. According to the 4 people wrapping up their Sunday evening beach party early on Monday morning, the following might have happened: Mosey down the cliff trail to the beach circle for the COP. 100 SSHs (in honor of The Carpenter and his family)Swirly’s DMH, walk it out, Fudd’s wife, Wilson’s Wife.10 IWs10 hand release merkins20 WWIIs10 LBC’s Mosey down the service road, avoid the two giggling late teens/early co-eds, followed shortly behind by two young men carrying a…
FIFA Q’d one heck of a beatdown yesterday in the gloom near the Rockville, MD area. Every time I visit downrange, the coupons come out, it’s like an F3 sense that goes off. I’m grateful to be a part of this F3 family, especially with the travel I do for work, makes it so easy to go work out and meet new HIMs and without a doubt be welcomed in as soon as I show up. Shoutout to Choo Choo and Poolboy for getting me into F3!
One man launched at 4:55 in the latest edition of The Clinic. Temperatures remained, as always, a steady 70 and sunny. According to the night watchman at The Broward Mall, the following might have happened. Run north around the office park, pass the DHL Battery Powered Super-Golfcart/Van, then across Peters, past the office, past the La Quinta, left, then left, the left, and then north to Broward Boulevard. Reverso back to the VSF. Not quite 5. Number, name, and YHC took himself out. NMS: Pretty sure that dude leaving as YHC was entering the hotel was the Dolphins kicker. Or,…
