Anthrax started early to go south to north and to add the Forest Hill loop – an easy 10 to taper. The remaining PAX started on the Northside, and agreed to meet at the water fountains at Riverside Drive on the other side of Belle Isle. The scheme worked well as the PAX converged within a few minutes of each other. Turbo took the fire road back. Offshore, Helix, and Sally took Buttermilk. All the best to the rim-to-rim-to-rim PAX. YHC is looking forward to hearing stories of the adventure.

Southside to Northside. Coffee at ETs with appearances by Lab Rat, TYA, and Shakedown. The muffin case was empty…until Saab charred a bagel. Then it was full of warm, fresh muffins. ETs needs to set the oven timer to 8:45 on Sundays, or Saab needs to send the burnt bagel signal earlier.

The skateboarder who wiped out on the Virginia War Memorial hill could not remember the following when he came to: Northbank to Buttermilk, with various crossing point options, was the call. Some PAX called an audible after calling 911 for the fallen skateboarder. Temperatures were above the Sally Line for the first time this year, so no K9s. The trails were damp, and rocks were extra slippery. PAX conjectured that the moisture emerged from the ground with the warmer temps. Most PAX went for coffee at ETs afterward.

Bootleg and YHC opened up the pump house parking lot for business. Bootleg, Helix, and Sippy Cup took Buttermilk to the flood wall, across Mayo Bridge, and back on the north bank. FNG Turbo, YHC, and Sally crossed at Belle Isle. Lola joined the flood wall crew for a bit. Turbo claims he was sold a bill of goods by YHC and was not expecting a 6+ mile trek. He’s been upping his game by putting in miles on the road recently. Turbo and YHC initially agreed to turn back at Reedy Creek, but when they arrived at the parking…

HoneyDo hasn’t posted too often to the Sunday trail run, but when he does … he gets a full 90 minute treatment of YHC’s latest existential crises. YHC is grateful for his ear and advice. Helix complained that 39 degrees is too warm for Sunday mornings. The PAX arrived to an otherwise-empty parking lot on a great day for a trail run. PAX went north to south then back across the bridge today. Sally made record time crossing the bridge, perhaps inspired to chase HoneyDo’s shiny new kicks.

A trio of varsity ballers gathered in the Pump House parking lot to conquer the cold. Heres how they did it: North Bank to T Pott to Buttermilk to Nickel Bridge. Beautiful sunrise, great 2d F and no ice on the trails, and YHC timed his coffee intake/dump output perfectly … what more could you ask for? Numbers, names, YHC took us out. Make it a great one, gents.

On a 70 degree (Kelvin) and soon-to-be sunny morning, a six-pax hit the trails of the James River Park System. Called route: South Bank to T-Pott bridge to North Bank. Mileage, pace and direction varied, but 6.5 miles +/- achieved. Numbers, names, YHC took us out. Announcements – Nancy Lopez Respect Week of Qs and HDHH at Triple Crossing SOJ upcoming. Continued prayers for Durden and his M. Coffeteria and 2dF afterwards. YHC ate a turmeric ginger blondie at ETs. Sally ate a frozen poopsicle on the trail. Both were satisfied customers. Make it a great one! Doublemint

Four PAX launched at 7 for Buttermilk to Northbank. Others launched earlier for the loop plus Forest Hill. The PAX ran long enough for ET’s to open, and proceeded to take advantage.

4, probably 5, but definitely not 6, launched into the rain and gloom (real gloom, not F3 Gloom) for the latest edition of Sunday Funday. Conditions were sunny and 70, per usual. According to the walkers who groaned at us going through Maymont, here’s more or less what happened: 6:30 launch: Swiper (13ish?) and Shakedown (11.4) 7:00 launch: Doublemint and YHC (6.6). Riverside, Belle Isle, Oregon Hill, Idylwood, back to the VSF. 7:00 (?) from points afar: Saab (10). Names, numbers, YHC took us out. NMS: Solid today, Doublemint. Thank you. Good chatter at ET’s. UpChuck spits the bit.

Seven stallions saddled up for the latest edition of Sunday Funday. Temps were 70 and sunny. According to the person who winterizes the bubblers for the James River Park System, the following may have happened: Shakedown and TYA ran two loops. UpChuck and everyone else headed south bank, then Buttermilk, then Forest Hill loop. Pigskin got knocked down, but got up again, then joined Hitchhiker to complete 4. The rest completed 7. Numbers, names, TYA took us out.
