Iron PAX @ Twin Team – Week II

14

The Iron PAX eagle landed once again at Twin Team and boy did it deliver for the elated 8 that posted. One would think that someone active in the construction world would not struggle to find a standard 38-40 lb cinder block, but….. YHC found himself at Home Depot on a Thursday night. With brief mumble chatter regarding the early launch at 5:15 and the workout that awaited the PAX, it was time to boogie.

Slow mosey with coupons to the Rapids Stadium Track for brief COP:

  • DQs
  • Imperial Walkers
  • Copperhead Squats
  • Arm Circles in both directions

The Thang – Iron PAX Challenge Week II – Meatloaf’s Massacre

Round 1 – 10 Manmakers, 20 Overhead Presses, 30 Swings, 40 Goblet Squats, 50 Incline Block Merkins, 4 laps around the track

Rinse and Repeat for Round 2, 3, and 4 with the following modification. Decrease run 1 lap for each subsequent. Round 2 – 3 laps, Round 3 – 2 laps, Round 4 – 1 lap. Roughly 2.5 miles of running for those keeping score at home.

Numberama, Namerama, YHC took us out.

Results: PAX ranged from 36:51 to a DNF** in the hour. A big **disclaimer** is likely needed for the DNF as that coupon weighed 10-15 lbs heavier than the rest. Mouse Trap, please address all coupon concerns to Jacob from the W. Broad St. Home Depot. His procurement effort did not address the requirement of “consistent scope and services.” Bonus points for Week 3 if a PAX member chooses “The Bubba Block.”

Jacob’s reaction was priceless when YHC told him the cinder blocks were for a workout.

T-claps to Sample from Kingsport. Heck of a week you had posting with the RVA PAX, Brother.

Was a pleasure to battle this one out with y’all and an honor to lead. The coupons have been stashed securely at Bettie Weaver. Let’s hope they don’t grow legs (or Bodos throw them against a wall) between now and Week Three.

    – Puppypile last Saturday of September
    – Please lift up our Brother, Doozy. Know you’re still scratching and clawing to find the right fit.
    – Please lift up our Brother, Mouse Trap, and his family. Know the challenges and chaos associated with car wrecks.
    – Please lift up our Brother, OC. Glad to hear your 2.0 is on the path back.
    – Please lift up our Brother POG and his family. His grandmother is not doing well.
    – Mouse Trap will likely handle the Big Data component behind Iron PAX. YHC also has the results if you’d like to have them on hand.

  2. That was intense! Having a hard time getting my arms up to the keyboard today. Thanks Wojo and Mousetrap for making it happen.

  3. Strong work fellas – depending on how many PAX are coming out next week, we need to ensure the blocks we have are of standard weight. When we were putting them back in your car, I think I counted 3 blocks with that doubled interior. TClaps to MouseTrap for pushing through despite the extra weight.

  4. Excellent work today Pax. That was one brutal workout! Thankful to be a part of it, to have finished and that I did not have to do it with the double cinder block. Have a great weekend… Assuming you can lift your arms which is doubtful for me.

  5. That was no joke! I almost spilled merlot on the last lap. I’m guessing we burned some serious calories b/c I ate my lunch at 10:30…so hungry.

Bodos destroyed the challenge….he just couldn’t be caught.

So thankful for not picking up one of the doubled interior blocks. Jacob at Home Depot prolly threw those in on purpose….bet he had a good laugh over that one.

    Thanks Wojo for leading today!

  6. Bodos: 36:51
    Tobit: 37:28
    Dr. Try Hard: 37:31
    Sample: 41:08
    Wojo: 46:39

    Loose Goose: 51:33

  7. I am so impressed by all of you! You guys killed it!

I’m just glad to be out there with all of you, getting better!

Thanks for nothing, Jacob at Home Depot!

  8. Can anyone swing by TwinTeam today or tomorrow and verify that our coupons are still there (where Wojo left them by the fence near the playground behind Bettie Weaver where we normally do pull-ups)?
