10 gentlemen of the gloom (GOG) gathered in the dark to start a new week in the right way. Having noticed that there was no Q at 5am, YHC signed up and quickly scribbled a wienke to reprise a favorite from last summer. Here’s what happened:
COP: SSH // Helicopters // DQs // LBCs // Crabcakes // Merkins // Plank to Elbow Plank Program. Mosey to back parking lot of Third Church.
OLD 100:
- 100 Squats. Run a lap around the church. Wait for the Pax.
- 90 2x Flutter Kick. Run a lap, etc.
- 80 2x Mountain Climbers. Run a lap
- 70 WW2s. Run a lap
- 60 Dips. Run a lap
- 50 LBCs. Run a lap
- 40 Merkins. Run a lap
- 30 Lieutenant Dans. Run a lap
- 20 Donkey Kicks. Run a lap
- 10 Burpees. Run a lap.
After last lap, we worked back up the ladder, cutting number of exercises in half and eliminating the lap. Got up to WW2s and then ran out of time.
COT: Numberama, Namerama, Prayers for DTH and family as they travel and for the day ahead.
NMS: Great group today and great mumble chatter. Welcome back Fireman Ed- glad to see your ankle’s strong again! Have a great day guys, live to serve.

Great work today guys! SYITG
Fun Q Bodos. Solid workout with plenty of chatter. Hard to keep count though.
Thanks for leading today, Bodo’s. Good mixture of stuff today.
You guys make me laugh.
Great just in time Q today Bodos. A routine like that quickly exposes my areas of weakness. I could plank 2 hours a day for a year and I’ll still be a bad planker.
Upchuck – you make all of us laugh. And you are not afraid to remind us every Monday the difficultly of Saturday’s workout (of which I never attend).
Saturday was no joke – DTH impacted the PAX both mentally and physically. For example, a man named “Dredd” showed up and promptly forgot how to count to 27 (pull-ups). No kidding. “This is hard,” he said (note the quotation marks).
Today, I am channeling the feelings of a 10th century coastal Syrian being chased by a series of Christian warriors. Saturday it was the good Doctor, and today it was Bodo’s. They are relentless.
Experiencing all kinds of back pain this afternoon. Need some work from a drilldo or our resident chiro.
Awww that’s so nice that you guys compared me to a 10th Century warlord….
Warrior. Upper-entry level. Like a senior Padowan.
Thanks for the tough workout, Bodo’s. I’d like to see an all-burpee version of that sometime in the future.
