Announcements: Hardywood is hosting a ribbon gymnastics viewing party on Friday night and Opus is a backup dancer for a Super Bowl party concert. See them for more details. DTH is now hand sewing his own F3 shirts, so if you ordered one, it’ll be ready for pickup soon.

NMS: A few random thoughts. At Dogpile this past Saturday, Rosie and I were talking about what it would be like to do an entire workout “under weight.” Sippy Cup and Swirly already know, but not so much for the rest of us. Alas, today was born. We were under the weight of the coupons, and it felt great. As Hardywood put it, “misery and benefit aren’t mutually exclusive,” or something like that.

During the beatdown, DTHs 4-legged friend swept the leg of Swirly. While Swirly will survive, F3 council has decided it cannot go unpunished. Accordingly, DTH is hereby sentenced to posting his next 30 workouts without wearing any F3 Gear. And, he is not allowed to pre-plan any of his next 5 Qs. The appeal window is 10 days.

After the beatdown, random conversations were plentiful. We happened on youth sports, and the old “everyone gets a ribbon,” saga. All I know is, when I was a kid, if your team won, you went to Godfather’s Pizza. If your team lost, you went home.

  1. Great morning for a workout men. Another reminder this week of how precious life is. Take full advantage.

  2. Swirly (F3 Corporate) on

That was a tough one Vinny !
    Great job guys .
    Nice tackle Cooper ….
    See y’all in the gloom..

  3. Great workout Vinny. I checked and unfortunately the last Godfather’s pizza in the east end that I told you about has now closed. You have to drive to Harrisonburg for the nearest one. Next week after Dogpile? peace

  4. Way to slide in a few bonus points in the backblast Vinny. Solid work and always appreciated. Ribbon gymnastics will be saved for the Dogpile workout I am the Q for on Saturday. The name of Opus’s band that only does hip hop covers of The Judds is called Chixie Dicks. It’s a helluva show.

The quote came from a book called The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday. I could not recommend this one enough. In it’s entirety ” Blessings and burdens are not mutually exclusive”. Boom

  5. Yes, Cooper has a way of keeping the PAX on their toes… guess it’ll fall into the “check yourself (and your surroundings) before you wreck yourself“ category. Ya’ll are gonna be so jealous when DTH shows up in the latest fashion runway styled hand sewn F3 gear in hot pink sequenced cheetah print.

  6. Vinny, great workout this morning, coupons were a plus in both weight and benefit. Looks like we worked out the tree counting issue! DTH, enjoy having Cooper around even saw him guard the PAX when other dogs were present…good boy! Have a great day gents…CB
