No Parking in the Blue Zone

8

14 Roadrunners assembled for this week’s edition of the Spider Run. We did the reverse Kanawha routes in 4, 5, and 6 mile increments.

Gumbo took us out.

Today may have been a record turn out.  As YHC approach the AO, all the usual spots were filled and I had to double back to a different lot.  Still plenty of parking for those interested in joining us for a Spider Run, so do not be deterred.

It was great to see Gumbo out for his first Spider Run as well as Swirly’s return to Tuesday runs.  This may have been Wheelbarrow’s first SR too.

The 5s ran as a pack for almost the entire route.  Great camaraderie along the run.

CSAUP is two weeks from Friday, so nurse those injuries, ponder your tapering plans, and familiarize yourself with your routes.

  1. After some debate the 6m’s wound up shaving-off Marv’s house. As a consolation, we did an up-and-back along Highland…because Marv loves his hills almost as much as he loves Intervals.

  2. Good route Lockjaw! This was my second SR post, but I’m still as confused with the roads around UR as ever.

I ran with Bootleg and somehow we made it back without getting lost! Enjoyed the run and conversation.

  3. Awesome route, assuming you know when to go this way, that way, up there, turn a couple times, which parking lot to cut through, little bit of this, little bit of that. 5 or 6 miles, whatever it takes to get back.

  4. I have been meaning to get out to SR for a while and I’m glad I did this morning. Great run and great company. I will be back for sure!

  5. Great work today, fellas. Thanks for pushing me. Definitely faster than I would managed on my own.

  6. Nice route lockjaw. We had to improvise as your instructions were light. A grand time was still had.

  7. Good route and it turned out be really great weather conditions for a run.

Good running with you Wheelbarrow and getting some guidance on turn decisions from Bleeder.
