Train hopping hooligans

  1. Ten stallions of the dawn converged on Pump House Park for some trail running fun today.  Some were there for the summer challenge and at least one was back from a long abscence. It went something like this:

Saabs doc says no trails so he ran 12 on the road flying past large slow marathon trainers. Helix, Opus, and Pavarotti did about 40 minutes of a Pump House Park to Tx beach loop. Places to be people to see and all that. The rest of us went through the Pump House Park, jumped a train, past Foushees Mill across Potterfield bridge up Buttermilk to the lariat loop then Back across the bridge to the parking lot. About 8 miles. YHC managed to not get us lost though he tried.

Lab Rat EH a UFC fighter. Second F for some at ET where we saw TYA.

Run with the governor this Wednesday- sign up at Richmond Road Runners page.

Puppy Pile soon.

My kids are bugging the shit out of me so I gotta finish here. See ya

  1. The highlight was definitely climbing onto and across a hopper car. Don’t tell my M.

Good run, and I always enjoy some second F at ETs.

  2. Enjoyed the run today. Great to see so many Davillians posting this morning. (6). It’s a shame that Shakedown didn’t show up with the Ghost Flag this morning.

  3. That was so much fun this morning. I have never run the trails before and I would do it again in a heartbeat. My church obligations get in the way normally, but we only have one service over the summer, so today worked out well for me. Thanks to Pavarotti and Helix for putting up with my lack of stamina. Still trying to get back into the swing of things after being gone so long. Climbing the train was awesome. It should be a part of a dogpile workout if it is ever there again. I told my family about it and they looked at me as if I had lost my mind. See you all this week some time!

  4. Great route today, Shakedown! Way to keep the composure when things got squirrly. Nice to catch up with Anchovy and Ollivander this morning.
