Chutes and Ladders

14

YHC is a little late getting the BB out because he was fasting before doctor’s appointment this morning, and after the event, the YHC was living up to his F3 name.  Now that all is well and YHC is properly hydrated, here’s what went down:

24 gamesmen entered what had to be one of the more pleasant glooms in while.  There was a nice chill in the air and light dew on the grass for the VQ.

SSH x 10 x 2 – there was a lot of chatter (and laughter) from the PAX about the Q’s unique, yet stylish SSH form; Q saw others imitating it, which is taken as the highest form of flattery.

Mosey to monkey bars for AMRAP in seven minutes of “LabRat-etta” Dora.  PAX partnered up for 3 merkins, 4 plank jacks, and 5 2-count American Hammers while the other partner ran to the pull-up bars and back.  Despite the number of ladders the PAX had already climbed, they crushed it!Mosey back to the flag for a quick Ring of Fire before Numberama and Name-o-rama.

Announcements –

TYA reminded everyone that the new F3RVA regional website is going live on July 1.  Be sure to comment on BB to help with your information transferring to new site.  Names will migrate, but will need to reset password. Special thanks to Splinter, Swiper, Swirly and others for their work on the new F3RVA site.

Viral also reminded everyone about F3 RVA July 4 Convergence; check the BB.

YHC wants to thank everyone for their support on his VQ event, including the clown car from the Southside; great to meet some new PAX.  YHC was pretty nervous, couldn’t eat the night before, had fitful night sleep and was up for good around 3:00am, but all was well once the chatter started during the COP.  Also, a huge shoutout to Hardywood who helped plan today’s AO, planted the flag, and was pretty damn persistent in EH-ing this VQ; thank goodness!

Respectfully submitted,

Cottonmouth

  1. Great Q Cottonmouth. There is no way that you do this workout, much less lead with vigor when you started three and half months ago. Well done!

  2. Well Done Cottonmouth! Looks like a great VQ, sorry I couldn’t make it out to support.

  3. Well done Cottonmouth. Way to step out front and bring the heat. Chutes and Ladders was a smoker for sure. I’m glad there were not more rounds of that.

Great job everyone. See you in the gloom!

  4. Great Q! Glad we made the trip out of South Side for the Cottonmouth Q! Well done.

  5. Swirly (F3 Corporate) on

Cottonmouth – welcome to the Q sheet baby ! Good job today.. Your SSH may be the slowest funniest ones i’ve ever witnessed – dude it looked like there may have been a guy up in the clouds pulling strings one at a time on your arms and legs ….
Loved the shoots and Ladders – well done…
Way to push today guys – see y’all in the gloom….

  6. Nice work Cottonmouth! Cottonmouth can explain your reasoning on why we did the COP stuff twice? I’ve never done that before but thought it was cool.

I would be remiss if I also didn’t post that I forgot how Tatu got his name and asked him even though I was there when he was named.

Tatu, here’s your other Tatu namesake: the Russian girl band from the early 2000s.

  7. Cottonmouth, Great VQ! SSH’s may never be the same. With TYA’s SSH’s, the legs and arms seem to have no logical connection; With your’s, well, let’s just say, you give TYA a run for his money.

  8. I dont think I have ever heard that song hahah. But yah…name came from the soccer dude. Enjoyed the workout.
