Cold Cranking Amps are Real!!!

24

Cranking amps are the numbers of amperes a lead-acid battery at 32 degrees F (0 degrees C) can deliver for 30 seconds and maintain at least 1.2 volts per cell (7.2 volts for a 12 volt battery). In other words, CA/cranking amps determine how much power you have to start your car in most climates.

For those of you who missed it Saab had car problems, thanks to splinter for a speedy Uber ride home.  I mentioned that the cause of the car issue was due to cold cranking amps and the pax replied with “ha ha that’s funny”  well I hope the car makes a speedy recovery Saab!!!

Ok lets get started: 17 motivated men were up at o dark thirty for 45 minutes of Mary.

COP

5 minutes of chiropractic approved stretches plus rotational Merkins 10 left 10 right

Plan of the Day:

6 rounds of 4 square: Station 1-20 Merkins station 2-10 two count hanging flutter kick station 3-10 over hand pull ups, station 4-20 two count SSHs.

Rounds 5-6 consisted of 20 mountain climbers, 10 hanging knee to chest, 5 under hand pull ups and 20 jump squats.

Grand finale: Merkin 10 count Indian Run back to the flag.

Well thanks again men for letting me lead today. I always feel humbled and blessed to be apart of this group!!  FYI  Lab Rat informed me that my flag was not up to F3 standards so I will be going back to the hardware store to make the approved flag.  I will present the flag for a CGI (commanding general’s inspection) ie Lab Rat for his approval.

See you in the Gloom, its was great to see Flipper back in action!!

Premature posting, happens to the best of us. We’ll at least to Toga and you.

  2. Alright, since I got called out on my flag snobbery, I will post this:

If anybody would like to build or have built for them a shovel flag in the “Swamp Rabbit” style (see Lab Rat, Circle K, or Splinter), I will be happy to supply the drill bit, drill, hand saw for said project. Or, I will build you one and you pony up the cost of materials (maybe $30?) +1 quality craft beer (for labor). I can build 5 just as easy as 1.

    See Lab Rat for details.

I think the ground needed to be reset. I tried watering the engine, but that didn’t work.

  7. Good thinking always check the ground, my bet is the amps of the battery.

  8. I appreciated the props Flashdance…”back in action” Your a Chiropractor I’m a Chiropractor… I see what you did there…just so you know…none of the stretching was approved and will see what the board says…however does sound like you could become a mechanic.. Great Q

  9. AAA mechanic stated the problem seemed due to excessive moisture* in the engine compartment.

  10. I never said I was licensed, so the board won’t be able to find me. I thought the whole licensed thing was to constrictive. Are you going to the VCA this weekend?

  11. I overheard a Mechanic claim that one of the great features of the Land Rover was that you never need to Reset the ground; plus he added that it’s unmistakable reliable until water, gas or air gets to the engine. TYA, let me Paraphrase, BLAH BLAH BLAH….
