Sad Clown

12

I wrote a song to say adios to my sad clown.  I didn’t even know I was a sad clown before coming to F3, almost dying at several workouts, meeting new friends, and reading the book.  I knew there was something not quite right in my life but I couldn’t put my finger on it.

Anyways, I used to write songs all the time, but I hadn’t written one in several years until this one popped in my head.  I already shared this link with a few Mechanicsville peeps, but I decided to jump in headfirst and put it out there for the rest of you all.  Hope you enjoy!

Thanks for helping me be a better man,

Opus

PS The picture is of three of my kids, none of which is a sad clown, but Daniel does look a wee bit creepy…

Opus, first off so happy for you. You dove headfirst in and it’s now paying off. Congratulations!

Thanks for sharing the song. Totally awesome. I’m sure it will be an inspiration to many.

  2. Opus, you are the textbook example of the turnaround that can happen in people when they apply themselves. I am honoured to have watched it happen. Kudos to you, glad you got your song writing groove back! Thanks for sharing with the pax! Aye!

Thanks for sharing Opus, it is a great feeling to say goodbye to that Sad Clown, Aye!

  4. Thank you for sharing Opus and for writing again. Did you record this with Sons of Zebedee?

When I went to your Soundcloud page, the other songs were uploaded 5 years ago. Had it been that long since you had written a song?

  6. I recorded this on my own — it probably has been 5 years since I have written a song.

  7. Great job Opus!!! I listened to this in the car on the way home from WDog. As another former sad clown I appreciate you sharing this. Aye!!!

  8. Grammar note: Lab Rat must have REALLY been honored if he went out of his way to use the British spelling of the word.

  9. Rock on Opus! That was fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing. Indeed, no more Sad Clowns bringing us down…not when we are fortified with the strength of F3 baby!
