Pre-Blast — Sunny Afternoon Trail Run

3

The tax man’s taken all my dough
And left me in this stately home
Lazing on a sunny afternoon
And I can’t sail my yacht
He’s taken everything I got
All I’ve got’s this sunny afternoon.

But wait … we’ve got miles and miles of trails in RVA!  Meet at 4 PM at the Pump House parking lot (turn off is just north of the toll gate for the Blvd Bridge).  We will run the North Bank / Buttermilk loop clockwise again.  Some will probably add Forest Hill park for 9.5 mi total.  Those who don’t want to add Forest Hill can head directly back for 6.5 mi.   We will take it easy, and wait for people along the way.  All paces welcome.  Bring water.

Thoroughly enjoyed the run yesterday…beautiful day!
I’d be down for a run Wed morning (I think this week is a Wed run)…but I probably need to keep it to a 45 min workout like normal. We were running an 11-12 min/mile pace, due to trail running and waiting for others.
Friday is a holiday, though…what about running this loop again on Friday (in addition to a Wednesday 45 min run)?

  2. I will be out of town over the weekend, and a trail run would work for me on Friday. 1. We need to make sure we get the word out if we’re moving RAMM to the trail (Is TYA good with that?). 2. We could kill two birds and do a more run focused workout at SOT to keep with the 45 min goal and make sure we don’t pillage that workout. I don’t see anyone down to Q SOT at this time, and I could do that if needed. It will be more of a speed and agility workout.
