A Lucky 13 showed up to run.  No bikers, just running. Today’s route was the Carillon in cuatro, cinco, and seis mile variants. BT took us out. NMS As YHC woke to the sound of heavy rain, he wondered who would show up, if anyone.  As Q, there is no option to reconsider and fartsack.  YHC was pleased to find big blue and his entourage waiting in the parking lot with many other showing up as time closed on 5:30. The rain subsided and gave us some phenomenal running weather and just enough time to finish and circle up before…

12 solid dudes came out for Ramm – Ramm Gears this morning to celebrate Lugnut’s birthday! Ramm – Carillon route was the call from YHC cause we could not find Lockjaw.. Gears: They biked all over the city baby…. The scoop of the day… It’s Lug’s Birthday – Happy Birthday Lug! Great run today fella’s – may be a first as many gears and runners….. Best wishes to our runners this weekend – participating in Ragnar and Colonial See y’all in the gloom…

A Lucky 13 came today to cover all distances; from running to walking to biking.  Here is what we did. East on Grove to Hamilton, head left to Broad St.  East on Broad.  4 milers take a right on Blvd and Grove home.  5s and 6s continue to the Science Museum with 5s going Davis/Grace/Strawberry to Monument and back to Lafayette to Grove.  A lone 6 miler continued on to Hermitage to Leigh to Blvd and connected with the 5 miler’s return route. YHC took us out. NMS Pre-run, the swiper sniper marked a few targets, YHC gave the routes…

16 feet and 8 wheels gathered in the pre-dawn at RAMM for a Good Friday tribute route. After Johnny McEnroe emerged from the podcast vehicle, Hardywood and Two Ferns had a bromance hug and No Tools’ quick diversion we gathered for some fairly clear instructions. Here they were, whether they were followed or not is a different story. Route: Stay on 2 roads today, Commonwealth and Monument. Travel north on Commonwealth to Monument and turn left. Go west on Monument until Staples Mill and turn around. Travel back to Commonwealth and turn left. Continue to Broad Street and turn around.…

16 Pax showed up to go fast today. Today’s route was an out and back on Grove heading east.  4s turn around at Meadow, 5s at Harvie, and 6s at Belvidere. YHC took us out. YHC opened with the riddle of the Caddy Shack Sphinx continuing the golf theme from yesterday.  “What is the shortest distance between two points?”  Of course I am referring to a “line in the opposite direction”.  Labrat answered incorrectly and went right into the lumber yard. With many of our routes heading west, YHC thought it was time to push the limits to the east…

17 descended upon Mary each to run their selected distance, Prior to the saying “let’s go,” TYA was gone in an instant. With some of the PAX running to Three Chopt and return, It would take a lap around Mary as a 4-miler to earn. 5 and 6 milers however, had a different route to take, Down Iris, up Towana, and for some – a lap around a lake. Dutch and Phonics were, without question, the ones to try and out pace Although the remaining PAX were strong in running their own race. Rigid-Bleeder on his bike, and TwoCan in…

17 of Friday’s Finest and 1 FNG showed up for some miles, but left with so much more.  YHC switched things up today with a scavenger hunt with a St.  Paddy’s Day theme. Pax divided into Team Honey Do and Team Sippy Cup.  Each team was given their clues and they needed to map the most efficient route to the way point, find the prize, perform an exercise, and move on.  First team back to the shovel flag with all four prizes and all of their team wins. Clues were provided to mask the location, but here is where we…

9 runners converged on a final run before the onset of winter, again. Reverse Carillon routes – 4, 5, 6 mile variety. Wilson took us out. NMS: YHC was perplexed when he showed up this morning to an empty parking lot with only Flatline’s truck in the lot.  Taking Swirly’s parking spot, YHC was able to get a commanding view of the AO as runners began arriving.  At first, it was very odd to not see the usual suspects for Friday’s run.  Was I in an alternate dimension in which I had Swirly’s parking spot and no Pax?  I was…

12 descended upon Mary to pound out varying degrees of miles.  This is more or less what transpired (probably less)… Having spotted a late night text from Lockjaw stating he was under heavy sedation from Nyquil, YHC leaped from his Sir Harington and raced to MM to ensure the route was secured.  Having agonized at great length (< 1 minute), the state of the PAX (ankle injuries, pending renal deliveries, flu) drove the decision to choose the proverbial Old School route.  (This involves up and down routes along Grove of varying lengths….I’m sure there’s a TYA back blast out there that describes this…

17 Rolled in for a Spring Time Run/Bike in Winter Today we did the reverse route of the February 4 CCV/UR route.  Continuing the haiku theme: This time in reverse Down and back up in darkness Found a new classic Marv took us out.
