The “Fartsack” monster has absolutely no hold over me.  However, I am helpless against the “Crackpipe of Mañana” (look it up in the Lexicon) when it comes to parsing out 30 minutes to pull together awards.  With the holidays now behind us, YHC resolves, in the spirit of the new year, to re-establish a regular cadence. A few high-level, summary statistics from F3-HR 2017 to put things into perspective, taken from Big Data that is nearly complete with all such information: Almost 90 PAX posted at our AOs, totaling about 1500 posts altogether; we held about 265 workouts – so…

3 PAX for EarlyBird – Dreamliner, ScreenDoor, Deflator – banged out a 3.11 mile warmup to QuackQuackHonk.  Met by Gunner and TripleOption for QQH. Warm-o-rama SSHops x27, Merkins x24 (Pats 27, Steelers 24); Burpees x9 (Pats 9 consecutive AFC East titles); Abe Vigodas x 11, Overhead Claps x3 (Pats 11-3 current record). Mosey around Mighty Eagle Harbor Lake for a warmup lap for some, re-warmup for others. The Thang 5 series of exercises in escalating reps.  Three cones spaced sort of equally far apart.  First exercise is done in at the middle cone, PAX then split up and did the…

Three PAX showed up for extra credit at 0500 to tangle with the Early Bird.  TowRope, Dreamliner and YHC took a nice run through the upscale Greystone development, tossing a shout out to TripleOption as we passed his community enroute back to the flags.  We were met by Gunner at 0530 and the four proceeded into YHC’s Holiday Q. Warm-o-Rama – jog in place while YHC explained Hot Chocolate.  Each PAX had to Shout out “HOT HOT HOT, HOT Chocolate!” from the Polar Express one time during the workout and lead the following H – Happy Jacks x4 (5 SSH…

YHC once again admits defeat to the demands of the Holiday season and a few work issues that have kept me away from some dedicated time at the computer to produce the weekly awards.  I am able to keep up some regular 1st F posts to help keep my sanity and focus balanced.  It helps that the Patriots are on Monday Night Football tonight so I can stream ESPN and type. Enough about me.  Onto the awards. Q of the Weeks:  Has to be FunnyCar at StinkHill circa December 2nd (http://f3rva.org/2017/12/02/sweet-mo-and-mr-brooks-at-stinkhill/).  FunnyCar brought it on big time for our best-attended…

A brisk Thursday morning brought five strong PAX out for #QuackQuackHonk (two for #EarlyBird) and the year-end finale of the 3rdF study. Mental ineptitude showed through most of the workout this morning for the Q, YHC (your humble correspondent). More on this in the moleskin section below. Also, in the moleskin section is a rather extensive discussion about a well-timed bowel movement (worth the read). Now, on to the workout. Well PAX it’s time to start thinking about the Colonial 200 relay. And, by it’s time, I mean the race is 5 months away. Early plans are already starting to take shape though. Hampton Roads will be leading the charge but invite any fellow Richmond and Charlottesville brothers to join us. We registered and paid today to secure the lowest price. Information This a 200 mile relay from Charlottesville to Williamsburg, VA. The miles will be split into 36 legs ran by a team of 10-11 PAX. The dates are Fri., April 20th to Sat., April 21st. More information at…

OK, OK, YHC acknowledges that I missed last week’s awards posting.  So everyone who participated over the past two weeks gets a virtual participation trophy: Scully takes the Merkin Challenge, not surprisingly since he is a MACHINE.  I’m sure he got tips for the perfect pushup from this source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFOSh8vpd6I Golf-clap to Dreamliner for distant second: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CP6v4T3VT7I Q of the Week(s) goes to Scully for Q’ing 4 of the 12 AOs over the last two weeks.  That’s alot of innovation and dedication.  For that you get a picture of my second-favorite Scully: Honorable mention goes to YHC for Q’ing 3…
