Browsing: Broga

A Broga first occurred this morning prior to First Watch: A Hot Potato Broga Session! YHC started us off with some preliminary breathing exercises with Mountain Pose leading into a series of dead man hangs, Warrior 1, Warrior 2 and then attempting the Tree Pose. We need to work on our balance in order to perfect Tree Pose. EF Hutton then dropped us down to our mats and initiated some Cat/Cow, Pigeon and Shoulder Stretch. Last Call used his few minutes to keep us on the ground with Runner’s Pose and Child’s Pose. Finally, the potato was tossed to Lockjaw…

A duo Brogi stalwarts took to the No Toll courts to get loose and limber. According to the owls, this is rumored to have occured. Shoulder and back were the initial target areas. Legs and glutes followed with the pigeon the always popular position. Good shavasana caused some shuteye for YHC as cool breeze was ideal this morning. Good to see Chaplain recovering from his back IR and getting some additional rest following the intense 4.30 launch at Rock and Roll on Monday. Well done boys.

A perfect set of trios arose long before the sun to take advantage of the perfect broga conditions. Downed trees and dispatched maintenance crews could not delay early morning broga regulars for an event for the ages. Handshakes arrival at 4.29 got us started with Fudd surprise arrival being socially late after we started. Areas of concentration were shoulders (YHC would have worked this area more with knowledge of the impending beatdown), hamstrings, glutes, hips and back. Shavasana was welcomed by all with the comfortable conditions of autumn. Well done fellas.

A trio of Brogii regulars rose earlier than most to warm up for the epic beatdown Florence had in store. According to the duo of early rising walkers this is what is believed to have occured. Broga emphasis today was on shoulders, hips, glutes and hamstrings. Childs pose and pigeon were popular along with House Party preferred shoulder stretch. Bands were used to work on hamstrings and hips. YHC had taken a 2 week hiatus from No Toll Broga due to a knee injury and recovery. Good to be back in the groove. Keep pushin gents.

After a week of recovery, seven Brogii veterans arrived early with a variety of comfort flooring. Fudd followed Hutton with the yoga mat, YHC preferred double towel protection, Lockjaw brought a wash cloth, while others found whatever was lying around the laundry on the way out. Exercises emphasized shoulders, hamstrings, hips and back. Shavasana was elongated with the cool morning breeze crossing the parking lot. Well done today fellas.

Just a couple of dudes stretching out at 5am on the basketball court. We did a full body routine including the newly named Super Pigeon. We missed Brogi Master Last Call, but were able to power through nonetheless.

6 gentlemen of the morning arrived early for some exercises to limber the mind along with the body. Many still resisted the push for the new F3 sponsored Broga mats (reasonably priced at $249.99 plus S & H) but all attendees were well prepared with individual padding. Today was a concentration on shoulders, back and legs with an extended shavasana finale. Good call by Handshake to relocate further down the parking lot to avoid the headlights interrupting the final shavasana/naptime. Looks like the location will remain for the foreseeable future. Hot Potato Broga planned for next week so plan accordingly.

A pair of Broga Veterans woke earlier than most to limber up before the No Toll beatdown. YHC worked shoulders, back, hips and legs before the always enjoyable shavasana. It was great to have Chaplain join in Broga again and YHC enjoyed hearing about his adventures in coaching youth football, even participating in some line preparations. Pushing around 12 year olds is different now, as those kids push back. Enjoyed the company on this great morning.

A quintet of early rising brogiis came out of the gloom to work out the kinks. Conditions could not have been more ideal for early morning broga with cool temps and clear skies. Concentrated areas included shoulders, back, hips and hammys. Elongated shavasana was well received. Groans were a plenty especially during shoulder work.

4.58 and it was looking like a lonely broga morning for YHC only for Oyster to save the solo stretch to gather a double for the day and chip away at Hutton in BD points. Hamstrings and hips were focal point of the day in anticipation of the upcoming Old Glory. Well done.
