Swoop, his M and 2.0’s were the excited to have our first opportunity to participate in breaking bread. The whole family took time to help make the meal for 8 people this evening. I am sure the food was enjoyed by the people but I am also sure my 2.0’s were able to see how we can help those in need. Thanks again for the opportunity !

YHC and 2.0 made our way over to the Daily Planet to serve some deserving folks some food. Lasagna, salad, garlic bread, and cookies were on the menu. Not as many people as expected but they were grateful and happy for the potential of leftovers. Always a pleasure to serve.

The M & YHC served Lasagna, Caesar salad, Garlic bread, desert and tea to 9 great folks this evening. We also sat down and ate a meal with a couple of great guys. God led me to sit down across from a man who will soon be getting both knees replaced and is also slated for back surgery. He’s homeless but should be getting an apartment soon. He’s in his fifties, his wife died 5 years ago and his son just died recently from Fentanyl poisoning. Despite all of this, this man’s faith in God was remarkable and inspiring. Most…

For the last few years, YHC has decided to give back during his birthday week (46th birthday was on the 22nd, btw!) This year, 8 fine people were served Minced Pork BBQ sandwiches, cole slaw, hot mac-n-cheese, pototoe salad, cupcakes and tea. All were most appreciative. One resident asked for seconds but was shutdown by the lady in charge because of his blood sugar levels! He wasn’t too happy. This is one one my family’s favorite things to do and one of F3RVA’s most important. BE THE LIGHT!! Tomorrow, EF Hutton has the honors. F3RVA is filling them up this…

YHC enlisted the services of Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken to provide some comfort food for the good folks at Daily Planet on this hot July afternoon. A meal of classic fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, buttered corn, cookies from Publix and a couple jugs of fresh brewed tea were dropped off with a smile and received with warm appreciation. It feels good to share.

Oyster and Heist’s wife put together a feast for the good folks at Daily Planet. Here is how it went down: My M made sauce from scratch, browned the beef, and made layer by layer of Italian goodness. Oyster made the meal come together with salad, homemade cookies, and some tea.

For the Sunday evening meal, YHC decided to do the classic cajun pasta with chicken and polska kielbasa. Made a salad with two dressing choices(croutons on the side), Sourdough garlic bread and chocolate chip cookies for dessert. This is a fun meal to make and was glad to get this to the group today. Arrived at 5:25 and the they were ready to eat…honored to make this meal.

One of my daughters and I put together a meal for Saturday Breaking Bread. It consisted of barbeque grilled chicken, baked mini potatoes, salad and brownies. My daughter happens to have a learner’s permit so I said “Why don’t you drive to BB? Little did we know that we will heading down there right after a big storm left massive puddles on the roads. Even though no experience navigating the city part of Southside and massive puddles, she did a darn good job. She may have splashed a couple of diners in Westover Hills but better that than an accident.…

With the menu all planned out and all the ingredients bought for dinner for our friends at the Daily Planet on Sunday night, I was ready to cook up the meal for 10: Baked Spaghetti, caesar salad, bread, and cookies for dessert. Then I happened to see Mr Roger’s backblast from what he brought the night before: Baked Spaghetti, caesar salad, bread, and cookies for dessert. I guess great minds think alike? Anyway, Oyster said it was no big deal, so one of my 2.0s and I brought the meal and it was joyfully welcomed despite the repetitive menu. If…
