Eighteen thoroughbreds hit the streets of Tuckahoe for a mini-convergence at SpiderRun. Here’s where they went:
All
- Out around the Baseball stadium onto College
- Right on University
- Left on Ralston
- Right on River
- Right on E. Glenbrooke
- Left on W. Glenbrooke
4s
- Turn around at Summit and reverso the route
5s
- Ascend and descend Summit
- Continue loop on W. Glenbrooke to E. Glenbrooke to River
- Reverso the rest of the route
6s
- 5s plus loop of Hellaire to Twin Lake
Back to flag
Numberama, Nameorama, COT
MOLESKIN
No shortage of hills and no shortage of pollen in the air to chew on, but the temp was perfect for a run. Half the 5s chose to run the loop in reverse and missed the pleasure of Summit, but the others made up for it. Great to see huge numbers out at SpiderRun. Not sure what the other groups mumblechattered about, but YHC’s group discussed the dynamics of youth sports, notably “elite elite” travel soccer and baseball, and their impact on high school sports. Bootleg subscribes to the adage “Suns Out, Guns Out” and nips too.

Seemed completely forwards to me. Need to tack on a little for the 6s but I was OK with being short today.
I must have missed something from my original mapping for the 6s. Figured I was coming up a little short when the 5s were passed on University.
I think I had the 6s doing WOTJ on the way back. That would end up being over 6 though.

Nice route Hutton. Enjoyed the banter while trying to keep up with Bodos, Flatline, and EF Hutton. Spider Run had more hills than I remembered ?
Better start training those hills Boberry! Those NC hills are special
Adding in a turn around the lack at the end gave it a nice even 6
Beautiful morning for a run – great to see the solid #’s and Bootleg channeling his inner TYA!
Excellent route Hutton although we were indeed bass akwards on that sucker
See y’all in the gloom..
