All Apologies

8

Fifteen fearless facing wet darkness slogged through Tuckahoe. Here’s where they went:

All

  • Out the Batcave across the shopping center onto Westham Station
  • Up South Ridge
  • Bear right onto Westham

4s

  • Right on Baldwin
  • Through Fraternity Row (Audible – Backtrack to Wood and Left on Lakewood)
  • Back to Flag

5s/6s

  • Right on Devon
  • Right on Horsepen
  • Audible and continue on Hampshire
  • Left on Wood
  • Left on Lakewood
  • Left on College
  • Back to Flag

6s

  • Add Old Bridge to Highland and backdown while on Westham Station

Numberama, Nameorama, COT

MOLESKIN

Apologies to all for YHC’s failure to anticipate Fraternity Row being impassable.  Rumor has it, all but Saabski took the alternate route around.  YHC is grateful no one was injured.  The 6s were supposed to be about a tenth short on the original route. At least they finished in full, so there’s that.  No shortage of big hills and Westham is a long grind, but this twisted group seems to enjoy that sort of thing.  Good to see Marv again and Flatline don’t be a stranger either.

  1. Great route Hutton. Good seeing you all.

That is one of the best unplugged sets of all time.

    Gitty up!

  2. If anyone approached the fraternity gate, there was a cable wire down across the door. No bueno. Beef and I sent the high school kid down the path only to call him back after seeing his abysmal attempt to circle the fence.

Also, for those interested, here is a link the the SNL spoof on Peloton riders:

    https://youtu.be/Q0CwNpMmUfY

It’s basically TYA talking sh*t to you as a motivation technique.

  3. I tried to provide Peleton-esque motivation to Marv this morning so he would feel at home. I should have watched the SNL skit as it would have been much more effective.

Thanks for trying to kill us this morning EF Hutton.

  4. Great running with Wedding Singer, and Hash this morning. TYA joined us for the return loop from the downed wire location. Liked the route EFH and plan to have this in my weekly list with Hash, great father/son time. BTW I have over 400 rides on Peloton…best workout equipment I have ever purchased!

  5. Navigating over/under two dropped utility lines on a muddy hill was about the dumbest thing I’ve done all year…and it’s only February.

  6. I think it is a great sign of my maturation that I did not jump over the cable lines. 10 years ago I would have done that without thinking. Someone please tell me wife about my good judgment.

  7. And this was a sign of my lack of maturation.

As to my wife, she is already well aware of my lack of good judgement.

    Excellent Route Hutton.
Glad BODO’s did not try and jump over the downed power lines – you have really come so far buddy….
See ya back in 4 or 4 months Marv.
Good to have Flatty out with us at Spider Run.
    See y’all in the gloom…
