Moist January

4

A solid 10 started the new year with a run around town. Weather was perfect and spirits were high.

East on Grove, left on Lafayette, right on Monument. 4s turn on the Blvd, 5s on Meadow, and 6s on Harrison all picking up Grove to return to the SF.

YHC took us out.

Moleskin:

Unlike the last time we did a New Year’s run, the town was very quiet this morning. YHC only saw a few empty liquor bottles and a giant red hawk on the route. Post anything interesting that you may have seen in the comments.

The backblast title comes from a Pax member’s view of a more subtle and less extreme response to dry January. It’s you against you.

Though the coffee selection was limited, coffee time was a lot of fun and a great introduction to the new year.

  1. I should have gone with the less-maligned “damp”…

Good route for the day Lockjaw. It was nice to see the lights on Monument. Appreciate Garbage Plate performing the relative slow-jog to help me keep pace…Good conversation.

Now that Bodos has thrown-down the gauntlet, look forward to Lockjaw meeting/breaking his record.

  2. Solid route, Lockjaw. Thanks for taking the Q.

I learned quite a bit from chatting with Hitchhiker, but most memorable will be to stay behind him when he shoots.

  3. He says he only shoots people but seems to have missed everything be shot at. Maybe he got a few when he missed the mountain and dropped an artillery round in a village ?☄️??

  4. Bodos and I passed a second floor party still in full swing – looked like 4-6 people and maybe they had a mic and sound system making it sound like a much louder larger party.
