Pilgrimage to the Mother Land

10

Thirty-four noble warriors descended upon the motherland of F3 RVA for a Labor Day convergence.  A picture perfect morning and 5 QICs met the PAX with the following:

  • COP (Attila)
    • SSH
    • DQ
    • IW
    • Arm circles
    • Helicopters
    • Suzanne Somers
    • Merkins
    • LBC
  • Divide the PAX into 3 groups
    • Football field (Fireman Ed)
      • 11s with Lt. Dans and plank jacks; all while rotating a cinder block coupon
    • Grassy knoll (Johnsonville)
      • Jack Webb with coupons
    • Striker Park turf field (Tater)
      • Series of ab exercises with WWII sit-ups, V-ups, LBCs, heels-to-heaven, crunchy frogs, side crunches and American hammers
      • Brief interludes of bear crawls and crab walks mixed in
  • Reassemble at the football field for stretching with Chum Bucket
  • COT with YHC taking us out

Great to have the PAX at the Gridiron this morning to celebrate the end of summer and start of the school year.  Welcome to Boat Shoes and Mowgli. Your footwear was next level.

T-claps to Johnsonville and the Gridiron PAX for an incredible spread for fellowship post-workout.  The bar has been raised.  Solid work men!

Announcements

  • Iron PAX challenge continues throughout the week.  God speed!
  • F3 retreat in Amelia on 10/3.  Bring beer and food.
  • 2nd F this Friday at Drive Shack.  M’s are welcome to attend.

Please join YHC in praying for our educators.  They are working their tails off in these unique times.  Patience and grace will be needed for everyone.  Time for many of the PAX to jump on the roller coaster.

God is good all of the time!

Attila

  1. Nice to be back at the F3RVA alma mater. Well done to the hosting crew. Good beat down, and a delicious breakfast. Thank you.

Can you all post the link to the donation website? We have some guys who want to contribute.

    Good chatter afterward, fellas.

  2. Thanks to Fireman Ed for thinking of CrossOver Healthcare MInistry and for your all’s support and prayers.

Our 6,800 patients between 2 clinics have been hit hard by COVID-19. 20-40% positivity rate over the 5-6 months since we started testing. I’ve been struck by how I can count on one hand the # of friends in my suburban social circle have been directly affected by covid infection, whereas people we serve at C-O living in small housing units with many generations, busting their butts in front line retail/housekeeping/construction jobs are experiencing the pandemic personally in large numbers. Also, how if myself or my family got covid it would be real stress. Yet, for these families the loss of income from quarantining also means stress in getting bread on the table, $ for rent, etc.

Please also pray for our volunteers and employees whom are thankful to be playing a role in fighting the pandemic, yet also fighting burnout. Shout-out also to Flatline and others working in the hospitals.

Thanks again and for those interested in donating, here’s a link–

If you donate, please mention “F3” and/or “Malpractice” in one of the fields.

    Malpractice

  3. Really good to see those who came out. Lot’s of teamwork and support went into the breakfast. Thank Tater for coffee, Fireman Ed and White deer for water, Pinto for being grillmaster, just to name a few. I received $203 in cash and $65 on venmo (@Lewis-Biggs). I’ll wait until tomorrow to make the F3Pax donation. So venmo it’s still an option if you want to give. Alternatively donate directly to crossover ministry per the link above. Jville

  4. Thanks for hosting GridIron Gang ! It was a perfect introduction to F3 for my brother “Boat Shoes” and God Son “Mowgli”. I’ll keep the HL going for them to keep posting with the Cvile PAX.

  5. At final count, I was entrusted with $203 in cash donations at yesterday’s breakfast and, over the course of the rest of the day, $120 in Venmo donations, for a total of $323 received. I passed along all donations this afternoon to CrossOver Healthcare Ministry. Thank you for your generous contributions to a great cause! Jville

  6. Updated “final count” and accounting with respect to donations — I was entrusted with another $20, bringing the total to $343 in donations. That is very generous for a simple breakfast! I passed along the additional donation to Crossover Healthcare Ministry by an on line donation made this afternoon. Thank you all for your contributions to a worthy cause!
