Sunday Frisbee

9

One megastud (and one companion who will not be named) launched for a Sunday run at 6 am and ran for 13 miles.  This megastud started his trail running career less than six months ago and completed a full half marathon this weekend on the trails.  Bootleg is that megastud. He has consistently posted on Sunday’s and on other run days and increased his mileage along the way.  He is prepping for the Patrick Henry Half Marathon in late August and if yesterday was any indication he  will slay the run.

Since the two early/late runners did not cross path’s with the normal Sunday trail runners, they were deemed to not be worthy of getting credit for the run.  Fair enough, but Bootleg deserves to have his awesome feat from this weekend memorialized.

Unnamed companion out.

  1. THE Yankee Aggressor on

Great backlash “unnamed companion” whoever you are. What a selfless act. One thing I am confused on is why the run was referred to as Sunday Frisbee?

  2. Great job, Bootleg! Come run the Richmond Half with me in November after you crush Patrick Henry!

  3. Awesome, Bootleg. Well done. Way to stick with this…lots of hard work is paying off.

  4. Thanks folks!

I’m thankful to be surrounded by many sources of inspiration and encouragement

  5. You know what I like best about F3? The companionship. You just know that when a workout starts at 0700, there will be guys waiting in the parking lot at said time. The beauty of that 2nd F.

    Well done, Bootleg!

  6. Love me some 2nd F. It’s a great spot for us to share our fellow PAX’s successes. For example, if someone were prepping for a half marathon, the 2nd F at ETs would be a great time to mention this accomplishment to the other PAX who are at the 2nd F.
