14 Pax enjoyed a beautiful Saturday morning at Stinkhill despite our parking lot being overrun by the annual fair that will inconvenience us for a few weeks… maybe Dreamliner can “dream up” a nice fair or circus themed beat down for next week. YHC is not that creative. Here’s how today went down:
Side Straddle Hop IC 20
Imperial walkers IC 20
Hillbilly walkers IC 20
Abe vigodas IC 20
Body builders (burpees with a plank jack thrown in) IC 15
Mosey to the base of Stinkhill
Partner up and Broken stair-barrow to the top of Stinkhill- these were much more difficult than anticipated, but that seemed to be the theme for the day as you will find later in the beat down.
Colt 45’s x 2 with rocks conveniently provided for us around the city seal at the top of Stinkhill (Dreamliner introduced these at the Stankhill launch on Tuesday and YHC enjoyed them so much, he felt the need to let the Stinkhill pax enjoy them as well)
100 merkins/Hold Plank
200 LBC’s/Hold 6″
300 air squats/squat holds
Super 21’s: Merkins and Big Boy Sit-Ups… initially modified to be performed backwards ( start at 21 and work your way down rather than 1 and up) and then modified again to stop at 10 due to YHC exhaustion.
Jack & Jills ( Dreamliner was once again the favored Jill for more than one of the Pax) Jill-selected exercises for the Pax, while Jack & Jill made there way down and back up Stinkhill, were as follows:
As time was running short, Jack and Jill’s were uncharacteristically cut short before everyone had an opportunity to traverse the hill and we moseyed back to the flags, with a brief detour to the parking lot to retrieve YHC’s phone (a must in order for YHC to remember all 14 Pax participating in the beat down).
Upon arrival back at the flags, we had just enough time for an ill advised attempt at some wave Big Boy Sit-ups. After 5 very uninspired rounds, YHC abandoned those for 25 rapid Freddy Mercuries.
Counterama and Namerama preceded YHC’s sharing of the following passage which emphasizes the need for those with many different talents in order to create a strong, complete team:
1 Corinthians 12:17-20
If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
Dreamliner shared some announcements including a request for prayers for Spacemonkey who has recently experienced a recurrence of symptoms that preceded an operation for a brain tumor several years ago. Prayers went out and will continue to go out to our brother.
