4 men who just have not have not had enough Gumbo this week posted to the Sunday Funday run this morning.  Vinny even came barreling in with the Stache still in tact – that thing should have its own side-car.  The consensus was that the trails were likely muddy, so instead we opted for the roads.  We crossed the bridge over to Riverside Drive and worked our way down to Pottersfield bridge and across, up the big hill from Tredgard up toward the Va War Memorial, then weaved our way through Oregon Hill and back to the Pump House.  By…

3 stalwarts posted for a Sunday morning run a few days after thanksgiving.  We took went over the nickel bridge, picked up the access road, crossed at the T. Pottersfield bridge, and came back on the Northbank. Flipper is an animal.  He kept pace on the entire route and ripped off an 1:14 minute 7 miles on the trails.  Great work.  Shakedown filled in admirably for Lab Rat, keeping the conversation going the entire way.  But, alas, no one can talk as much and on a varied number of topics like Mr. Rat. TYA OUT 1 week til the Bear…

Four gloom warriors slept their extra hour and came to run trails today. Furley, YHC, and Southern Belle (quite the bright personable young lady one would expect) had an early lead but took a short stretch break and hooked up with TYA. TYA and TSB went out a total of 2.5 and back on North Bank. Furley and Shakedown did the loop plus the lariat. Good pace good times – winter is coming. No Furley or Shakedown next week for Sunday Funday Have a great week gentlemen

“First we go south under the cover of darkness, then we attack North in small groups” was the order from Gen Tippecanoe. The 7 man squad executed flawlessly on both trails and roads and met minimal resistance. It all started with a rare showing from Ferlin who asked approval of those assembled whether #NoShirt, gloves, and ear warmer was acceptable for a 48 degree start. TYA thought for a moment, and you can tell that he wanted to object that he is the #noshirt king, but he said, “not sure about the gloves, hoss”.  Then someone said “Dude, you just…

Nine folks showed up yesterday to run all kinds of different routes.  One was a Fun New Gal, and didnt have the entire pax to really nail down a name, so she was Christened several names to match all the different routes run by the pax.  If she returns, we will pick one.  Saab joined a few of us at ET’s, which made me want to stay there all day….we almost accomplished that. A beautiful sunrise greeted us as we crossed Nickle Bridge.  These are the glory days. Lab Rat apologizes…

Three men and a Sallydog went out this fine morning for a Sunday Funday trail run. YHC saw Furley show up and take off early but he may have not seen the rest of us. Maybe next time. We took off across the bridge to the south side and planned to cross Belle to return up Northbank. Fudd wasn’t feeling well and mentioned almost passing out so we let him lead the pace (bro code) and when he decided to turn back we went with him. He insisted that he’d be ok but was told he joined the wrong gang…

4 trail runners were graced with a cameo from F3RVA royalty to make 5 strong on the first day fall actually had a fall like feel.  Spoiler alert:  Sippy Cup was there!!! Route:  North Bank to T. Potter bridge and home on Buttermilk with a little Lariat loop just for fun. NMS:  Great day.  I was actually surprised by the lack of pax this morning, given how comfortable it was.  Good to meet Foley, and catch up with Pert+ after his big weekend of races.  Surprise showing by Sippy Cup, who ran a couple miles with us before he had…

Four brave warriors (including 1 FNG) broke the spell of the fart sack, last night’s down pour, and tired muscles from yesterday’s Convergence to hit the wet and muddy trails for Sunday Funday.  Here’s how it went, so I’m told:  Counter clockwise going Northbank to Buttermilk.  Mileage was ~7 miles, give or take.  Number-rama.  Name-a-rama. NMS.  We welcomed FNG Furley, who Vinny recruited after last week’s Sunday trail run.  This now makes 2 PAX named after a Three’s Company character.  Extra credit to anyone who can guess which actor played Mr. Furley.  Both Pert Plus and and Furley are veteran…
