Four posted on a dry but cool Sunday morning for a ruck. The group crossed the river, traversed the buttermilk, took the flood wall and came back on the northbank trail. Route was a little about 8.5 miles. It was my longest ruck to date. It was great to get out and have a nice walk with the group. Rucking is great for fellowship as it does allow you to exercise and talk at the same time. No concerns with safety, Shakedown is always packing. TYA OUT

Sunday was a weird one, as many of the usual suspects were MIA.  3 runners and one fat bike rider showed up at the designated time and location to check off the box.  Route for runners was North bank to T. Pott bridge and back on Buttermilk.  Fun was had, and the lead (running and conversation) was swapped between us all.  Great trio of runners. We caught up with Tonka at the bridge and were talking with him about his comment on TYA being in Gong Show’s car….we told him he was not in fact there, he asked who was. …

5 humans and one canine posted on a chilly Sunday Morning. Offshore, Sally, Mr. Ferlie and TYA hit the frozen trails.  They were in great shape when we ran them, but a few hours later, they would have been really messy.  Saab took to the streets and put in a nine mile jaunt.  Tonka hit the trails with his bike. The question is “at what temperature does Mr. Ferlie put on clothing on his upper body” Second F at ET’s with Tonka, Saab and TYA.  Always a good time. TYA Out

Three PAX emerged after the rain for a run while the mayor of Sunday Funday was out. Flipper, Offshore and Sally took Idlewood to Oregon Hill to Belle Isle to the access road.  Saab went the other way around and took Riverside Drive to Mayo Bridge (?) and back on the northside.  PAX waved to each other across the Belle Isle parking lot as they nearly crossed paths. YHC and Flipper discovered and enjoyed new views of Hollywood Cemetery(?) along Cherry Street and of the river by running upstream along the access road.   Just when you think you’ve seen…

A K9 and her frisbee tosser embraced the freezing rain for a Sunday morning jaunt. The Thang: Mosey to the access road for some full-tail-wag off-leash action, cross at Belle Isle, return through Oregon Hill. NMM: Boulevard was closed before the Pumphouse parking lot, so U-turn and park in the Dogpile parking lot.  Since Nickel Bridge was closed, there were no cars and YHC could cross without losing her you-know-what.  YHC is sure Offshore loved the 2 inches of slush.  The PAX saw two sets of boot tracks and a set of bike tracks.  F3 PAX?  We would never find…

13 warriors rose to greet the dawn of a new day. Seeing how today is the day of The Epiphany we finally got some cooperation in the weather.  There was all kinds of calamity out of the gate.  We had some trail runners, some road warriors and a few who followed the beat of their own drums.  According to legend it went a little something like this. Across the Nickel Bridge to the trails, then connect with the service road at Reedy Creek.  Run to the 22nd street stairs an on to the TPot and take the north side trails back…

Five runners and four ruckers posted on a beautiful Sunday morning.  The five runners headed over the nickel bridge and did a loop around forest hill park.  Flip dog took the buttermilk back, the rest of the crew opted for the buttermilk to T. Pottersfield, the north bank and back for a ten miler.  The ruckers headed over the bridge as well, all went to the spur and back for at least an hour and 20 minute ruck.  Shakedown, headed back out the trail to meet the guys at the two mile point and ran back to the parking lot.…

5 stallions and one filly trotted out for today’s edition of Sunday Funday.  Temps were sunny and 70 with the occasional dip into the 30’s.  More or less, the following likely happened: Route: South bank to some form of bridge to North Bank.  Some runners did the lariat.  Reedy Creek was running high and dead calm.  No movement.  Runners were forced onto the road to cross.  Runners descended the slope to re-connect with Buttermilk. Some did Belle Isle.  Some did Pottersfield Br.  Re-connect at the Tredegar parking lot in time to see a shirtless Mr. Farley in a Santa hat. …

7 warriors posted on a Sunday morning.  Trails were too wet, so a road run was in order.  Over the river, up the hill, left on Riverside, cross over on T. Pottersfield bridge, make you way back on the north side to the pump house parking lot. NMM Rosie got a bonus four miles this morning pre launch.  He is training for his Tybee Island race weekend and getting in as many miles as possible.  Rosie, Hardywood, and Saab logged in nine miles this morning. They got a bit of extra mileage by running through the fan.  The rest of…

Which was perfect!  7 runners made the cutoff +5 minutes to beat the snow…but not quite. No plans were set in stone, even though Ollivander showed up in full hydration mode, looking like he was ready to run 20 miles. TYA suggested Forest Hill loop and back, which was perfect, so we went with that.  Lab Rat set the pace, aiming for bro code speeds.  The group stayed together the whole way and were joined by the snow as we climbed up Forest Hill.  It was a beautiful morning and we hit the snow perfectly….it was starting to get slick…
