Four PAX showed up this week to chip away at the monthly mileage challenge in significantly better (albeit colder) weather than last week.  With a start delayed by 5 minutes due to the crazy traffic, we ran 20 minutes out and 20 minutes back.  This was followed by a particularly good discussion of Running on Faith Chapter 3 and how we prioritize the will of God in our lives.  This chapter also talks about developing a “laboratory” around yourself in order to place yourself in an environment that is conducive to accomplishing your goals.  What are your goals, and what…

The usual crowd at FaithSneakers was pretty thin due to the weather and various PAX being DR, but YHC was joined by our indomitable Nan’tan despite a knee injury and the rain.  We were also joined by a motivated FNG (Live Oak) out on the trail.  YHC even encountered FiA S’Mores and Papyrus who were also out running, having started at the opposite end of the trail.  With a little bit of a late start, we ran for 30 minutes followed by a discussion of Chapter 2 of our book Running on Faith by Jason Lester.  This chapter talks about…

Another month draws to a close, which means that it is time to update the Quad P (Priorities’ Pointless Periodic Priority), otherwise known as the monthly challenge. Sign up here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-R0I0BO-L6Xrl4m1i8kqlbzloGbPdvRmkLwbwyASunU/edit?usp=sharing For February, after a month long duel between Scully and Scout, Scully takes a late lead on the final lap after putting up a whopping 350+ flights of stairs in a single day.  Scout, not to be marginalized, has scored over 200 flights on this, the final day, and 120 of those included a 30 pound ruck.  Both HIM have put up some impressive numbers this month.  Don’t worry,…

It was an honor to be the first Q for this F3 Hampton Roads Running group with 3rd F Bible study afterwards.  The experience was all the more impactful in that we welcomed 3 FNGs to our fold! The Thang: PAX started running on the Suffolk Seaboard trail in two trailblazing groups. The first group was bent on beating land speed records (YHC will call them “The Fasties”), the second group focused on dominating the trail in a slower fashion (YHC will call them “The Vigilant Vigilantes”).  For this occasion, the PAX were informed that the outrun was to be…
