With 4 PAX on hand, it was a perfect opportunity to steal a Big Data point. We played 4 on 4 full court basketball for 2 hours, rotating teams in and out. With a mix of teens, young adults and a couple dads; the competition was fierce. Already getting sore as I type up this backblast. SYITG

YHC had just gotten 5 miles pre run before the pre run with Boberry. Neither of us had any route planned out. Boberry suggested a trail run. We hit the trail on the other side of the river. I would say I barely have even a little bit of trail running experience, but always glad to try something new, especially with someone who has a better idea of what they are doing. Great to catch up with Boberry as our paths have crossed on many occasions, but got to get to know him and his story a lot better. Also…

Arrive at 520something. Florence first on the scene. No PAX from north of the James? Anthrax remedies the situation. Shovel flag planted, 530 hits, speaker turns on to the classic album from Tom Waits, Rain Dogs. Off we go onto fields of adventure unknown. Circle ish up and F3 mission and disclaimer, then the following more or less. 5 burpees SSH 4 burpees Imperial walkers 3 burpees Hairy Rockettes 2 burpees Copperhead squats 1 burpee LBCs Flutters Pretzel twists Crouching dog merkins Reverse scorpion kicks Mosey to field Florence: “just when I thought you’re music couldn’t get any weirder…” Quarter…

5 Davillians braved the rain that seem like it will never end and the humidity of 1000% to help YHC celebrate his “Big Data Official” 400th Q. Big Rig and YHC escaped the clutches of the fart sack to run the Graveyard Shift. 4.85 miles were logged. We did the Morning Wood paved trail loop Twice then added on a little extra. Big Rig has definitely bested YHC for long distance running. He was slowing his pace for YHC a couple times. Here’s the route :

The clock struck 0430 and off the Running Dead went. New route unlocked by YHC for 5 Miles (see snapshot below). Lots of announcements so see Slack. Strong mumble chatter this morning. Enjoyed the run and fellowship :

The Running Dead 3 running zombies came together at Rockwood Park for another installment of the Running Dead Graveyard Shift. YHC was coming in hot, but made it with about a minute to spare. Conversation started about the Family Night the night before and general concensus was that it was a success! We made our way to the park entrance and made a right onto Courthouse Rd. Basically doing the same route that YHC took last Monday. We made a right onto Sea Cliff and took a tour of the neighborhood. Last week YHC got a bit lost but I…

Running Dead Fart sack almost won out this morning as the Running Dead was almost the sleeping dead when I found out that I would be a PAX of 1, but I made it out to Rockwood Park for another rendition of The Running Dead with the3 lb dumbbells. Made a right onto Courthouse towards Providence Rd took the first right into the neighborhood that is the other side of Courthouse Rd from where YHC lives. Got a little bit lost in the dark and followed the sound of traffic to Providence Rd and then made my way back to…

3 Running Dead saddled up at 4:30 am for a group run exploring some new territory. YHC led them out of Rockwood Park via the utility road, across Hull Street into shopping plaza, and back into the Oxbridge Neighborhood. Zombie Brain was affecting YHC this morning as I tried to remember a route in my head that I devised 2 weeks ago. Had to take quite a few U Turns but still accomplished this 4.65 mile run :

The Walking Wounded 2 wounded zombies made it to Rockwood Park for another 430am session. As I pulled up, a police officer pulled around right behind Florence and I thought our workout was going to be over before it started. But he moved along as I found a parking spot. Here’s what he observed from the other side of the parking lot. (The entire time!)
