F3 Hampton Roads had their own version of March Madness with five PAX at #DuckDuckGoose. The workout was bracket themed, old-school style with only 64 teams. Warmarama: 20 side straddle hops (In cadence (IC)), 20 Don Quixote’s (aka windmills) (IC), 10 merkins (IC). The four-count merkins were much to Priorities’ displeasure. The Thang: 20 minute run (5 and change laps) with the staple, Bear Crawl Bridge. Then, it was on to March Madness. Bracket #1: Run from volleyball court to parking lot completing one set at each end. 64 squats, 32 merkins (march challenge requires these), 16 lunges (complaints abounding…

Stink Hill stood before us in the wee morning hours and 11 grizzled PAX decided it needed company.  With clown cars in park, it was off to the shovel flags. The Thang: Warmarama:  Side Straddle Hop (20x, IC), Imperial Walkers (20x, IC), Don Quixotes (20x, IC), Shoulder Circles (10x forward and back, IC), Burpees (5 on YHC down-count). Off to the hill: The PAX moseyed up the hill on the nearest stairs, partnered up, and grabbed a rock to share.  Partner 1: 10 rock curls, Partner 2: 10 Big Boy sit-ups.  Rock exchange and repeat 10x (See where the count by 100s…

Mumble chatter has abounded concerning the beautiful 75 and sunny (aka rainy, cold, and windy) weather this week.  This has not keep five grizzly PAX from posting each of the last two days. SubMac, after completing his VQ at #DuckDuckGoose yesterday and posting for the first time at #BearCountry, mentioned that it would be nice to have an F3 Hampton Roads Weather App that predicted the weather at each AO (as we know 75 and sunny).  His request has been answered with a Beta version by the IT crew. https://sites.google.com/ncsu.edu/f3hamptonroadsweatherapp/home A few notes on the BETA version, It has been…

PAX!!! F3 HR is entering their first official race as a team and we need YOU! The Thang: The Colonial70 Relay is a unique, one-day relay adventure in which you and five other pax run 70+ scenic miles through the heart of the Virginia. The Colonial70 Relay follows the last 12 legs of the Colonial200. It begins just outside of Richmond in Hanover and continues onto the Capital Trail before finishing at Jamestown Beach Park in historic Williamsburg. The Colonial70 Relay will be held April 29, 2017. The first flight of teams will start the 70+ mile relay around 4:00 am (maybe a…

It was 75 and sunny (i.e., 35 and raining) this morning for YHC’s VQ.  The great weather brought 5 PAX out of their fartsack to bask in the sun at #DuckDuckGoose.  A couple jokes were made about YHC’s chosen outfit to ward off the sun, which YHC heard as “I’m jealous of your impending dryness”.  The PAX then went to work.  Here is how it went down: Warmarama –  SSH x 20 (IC), Imperial Walkers x 20 (IC), Hillbillies x 20 (IC) The Thang –  YHC decided to break up the standard 20 minute run with Burp Miles.  Every 1/4 mile…

10 Mighty Oaks stormed #stinkhill on this gorgeous 75° and sunny morning at F3HR!  After a few weeks of running around the lake, it was decided we needed to remind the tiny ant hill who was boss.  Accompanying the Pax this morning was the lovely Lady Glittersparkle, seriously.  She was quite the diva and a bit high maintenance as she required 5 burps from all Pax anytime she was set down.  This is more or less how it went… Disclaimer – We’re about to do some probably(read definitely) stupid things.  Join in at your own risk. Warmarama – SSHx20, Imperial Walkersx20,…

Okay, Priorities, this is for you.  I am managing to post a BB within the required 24 hr window, completing my formal upgrade.  Request that my corporate file be updated to reflect. 4 PAX met up at BearCountry despite the predicted yet nonexistent rain. Warmarama: 20 SSH, 20 shoulder circles, 20 IWs, 20 windmills, 10 big boy situps, 15 flutter kicks, 10 box cutters. The Thang: Mosey from the shovel flags to the near side of the track for 10 more big boy situps and 10 more flutter kicks. Mosey to the far side of the track to prepare for…

F3 Hampton Roads christened our new shovel flag courtesy of Priorities with four PAX at #DuckDuckGoose this morning.  Despite a hard commit (HC) to Q the workout, Priorities jumped ship, more specifically jumped onto a ship, to go to a meeting.  Thus, the PAX had the joy (more like disappointment) of YHC on Q.  It was perfect weather for a run plus bootcamp.  Here is how it went down. Warmarama: 20 side straddle hops (In cadence (IC)), 10 merkins (IC), 21 (missed 20, oops) windmills (IC), 20 shoulder circles (IC) 20 minute run (4 and change laps) around lake with…

YHC was proud to see 9 Pax post on a cold Saturday morning, especially since Mentos, Dreamliner (and his clown car from the other side of the water) were absent. Mentos and Dreamliner were excused since they were attending the GoRuck Tough in Richmond , but I guess I need to be Canseco here and tell the other clowns in that car that Dreamliner’s absence is no excuse to Fartsack the morning away. After all, we all need as many postings as possible between now and the arrival of warm weather so that we can Chippendale on the Boardwalk this…

Four PAX rolled in at various stages of awakeness (couldn’t really tell if Priorities was awake or sleep walking) to post at #BearCountry this morning. Warmup: 20 SSH (IC) 20 Windmills (IC) 20 (10 fwd, 10 bkwd) shoulder circles (IC) The Thang: Deck of death with burpees (spades), merkins (clubs), squats (hearts), and flutter kicks IC (diamonds). Reps were face value on card with 10 reps for face cards and 15 reps for aces. Four cards at each station before mosey to the next station for a total of 13 stations to finish off the deck.  Stations 1/4 way around the outside of…
