#QuackQuackHonk had the second official workout this morning. As this new AO finds its identity, the type of workout is up to the Q that week. Last week, Priorities led us on 30 minute mosey around the lake. This morning, YHC brought a 45 minute bootcamp. What will happen next week??? Post to find out. Warmarama: 20 side straddle hops (In cadence (IC)), 15 Imperial Walkers (IC), 20 merkins (On my count). Priorities attempted to hum “Imperial March” from Star Wars during Imperial Walkers, evidently this required way too much coordination. YHC was laughing too much and almost lost count.…

6 PAX crawled out of their fartsack extra early this morning for a Bear Country Beatdown.  As we waited for the 5:30 start, out of the gloom wandered a walk-on FNG to bring it to 7 PAX!  He passed by the PAX last Wed. morning as we moseyed to the football field which sparked his interest in the workout.  After brief introductions we got to work. Warmarama – SSH x 20 (IC), Imperial Squat Walkers x 20 (IC), Hillbillies x 20 (IC) The Thang – The PAX moseyed over to the baby bleachers which YHC immediately determined was not challenging enough for…

8 PAX participated in Deflator’s VQ that featured a new twist on the opening run.  For those unfamiliar with the layout at DuckDuckGoose, a paved trail surrounds a small lake where we run for about 20 minutes.  On one end, a small bridge bypasses the path, which we affectionately call Bear Crawl Bridge since we, well, bear crawl across it.  Today we ran in pairs, with one PAX bear crawling across the bridge while another PAX sprinted with all his might along the remainder of the path to beat the bear across the bridge.  Unfortunately, most were unsuccessful although there…

Seven loyal PAX posted to #StinkHill despite our Nantan being down range and losing his clown car from the peninsula.  The F3 Hampton Roads Weather App is still holding strong with a beautiful day in the neighborhood of 75/Sunny.  Here’s what we did: Warmarama: 20 SSH (IC), 20 IW (IC), 20 shoulder circles (10 fwd and 10 back, IC) The Thang:  The PAX set off at a mosey around the lake, heading away from the hill.  Half-way around, we stopped in a field and partnered up for some DORA action. Partner 1 dropped to do merkins while partner 2 sprinted 50…

I hope everyone is having an awesome March. Considering its March Madness it’s pretty hard not to have an awesome month. For those of you who are looking for a great way to close out an March, we will be doing a brewery run on March 29th. We will be starting at O’Conners Brewery at 4:30pm to have our first beer. We will be heading to Smartmouth Brewery at 5:00pm. After that we will hitting up Bold Mariner and then heading back to O’Conners to close out the night. I hope to see you guys on Wednesday night to visit…

Many of you know there has been an underground, off the books workout on Thursday mornings.  (It wasn’t exactly a secret…)  But when more pax show up for the off the books workout then an official workout the day before, it’s time to place it directly on the books! So, F3 Hampton Roads officially has 4 options for all your 1st F needs: 0700 Saturday @ Mt Trashmore in Virginia Beach 0530 Wednesday @ Western Branch Middle School in Chesapeake 0600 Tuesday & Thursday @ Eagle Harbor in Carrollton Here’s how day 1 went down… 5 #DuckDuckGoose Originals met at the…

Three of the intransigent raged mightily against the fartsack this morning to post to #BearCountry.  Skeptical  of the pre dawn conditions, YHC was thankful for the F3HR Weather App to ensure prime conditions as the alarm sounded at 37 minutes past 4 in the ante meridiem. The Q’s plan had the pax departing immediately so after a brief discussion of waiting for any LIFO’s and the shortest disclaimer in history, the mosey began.  Around the school in the gloom, we miraculously avoided any talofibular or tibiofibular ligament sprains on possibly the most useless path of all time.  TClaps to Dreamliner for his wisdom in avoiding…

F3 Hampton Roads had their own version of March Madness with five PAX at #DuckDuckGoose. The workout was bracket themed, old-school style with only 64 teams. Warmarama: 20 side straddle hops (In cadence (IC)), 20 Don Quixote’s (aka windmills) (IC), 10 merkins (IC). The four-count merkins were much to Priorities’ displeasure. The Thang: 20 minute run (5 and change laps) with the staple, Bear Crawl Bridge. Then, it was on to March Madness. Bracket #1: Run from volleyball court to parking lot completing one set at each end. 64 squats, 32 merkins (march challenge requires these), 16 lunges (complaints abounding…

Stink Hill stood before us in the wee morning hours and 11 grizzled PAX decided it needed company.  With clown cars in park, it was off to the shovel flags. The Thang: Warmarama:  Side Straddle Hop (20x, IC), Imperial Walkers (20x, IC), Don Quixotes (20x, IC), Shoulder Circles (10x forward and back, IC), Burpees (5 on YHC down-count). Off to the hill: The PAX moseyed up the hill on the nearest stairs, partnered up, and grabbed a rock to share.  Partner 1: 10 rock curls, Partner 2: 10 Big Boy sit-ups.  Rock exchange and repeat 10x (See where the count by 100s…

Mumble chatter has abounded concerning the beautiful 75 and sunny (aka rainy, cold, and windy) weather this week.  This has not keep five grizzly PAX from posting each of the last two days. SubMac, after completing his VQ at #DuckDuckGoose yesterday and posting for the first time at #BearCountry, mentioned that it would be nice to have an F3 Hampton Roads Weather App that predicted the weather at each AO (as we know 75 and sunny).  His request has been answered with a Beta version by the IT crew. https://sites.google.com/ncsu.edu/f3hamptonroadsweatherapp/home A few notes on the BETA version, It has been…
